Playtest title: Current Build and Mechanics Playtest

Team Members: Lucette Gold, Brandon Lyman, Zinan Wang, Jackson Faletra, Shams Behadili, Yuxing Li, and Wenhao Zhu

Purpose of the Playtest: We want to understand the effects our mechanics have on the players and how we can improve their feel.

What will I do?

We will ask you questions about your demographic and preferences, then we will have you play the most recent build of the game, and then we will end with a questionnaire. In the questionnaire we will ask you about what mechanics you were able to find, and how you would improve them. We'll also go over details that refer to the general levels and tutorial for how we can improve those too.

Risks:

Our data is kept online, so there is a possibility for a breach, this data will not include any of your personal information just the results from this survey. There is a possibility your data could be seen by someone outside of this team, we are minimizing this risk by not collecting any personal data, only the information you give us in the interviews and surveys will be stored.

Possible benefits:

Participating in this playtest will help us to understand the importance of our mechanics and how we can better showcase them to better fit the purpose of our project.

Estimated number of participants: ~30-40

How long will it take? The entire process should take no longer than an hour and a half

Compensation: None

Future Playtests: Your data may be used in future playtests with our team or other user research teams. You will not be informed about these future playtests.

Confidentiality and Data Security

Our team will not collect any of your personal data. Only the information you give us in surveys and interviews will be stored.

Where will the data be stored? Your results will be stored in the google drive for our project. Your personal information will not be on these servers, only our team should know about them.

How long will it be kept? Your results will be kept until the project is either dropped or complete.

Who can see my data?

Only our team will know about any personal information you have given us, this will not be stored anywhere, only your  results will be stored. Your results will be stored on our servers that are accessible to multiple teams also working on our project. This is so we can analyze these results and conduct any changes necessary to our project.
