Thank you for your interest in becoming an Art Camp Volunteer this summer. This volunteer program is open to teens ages 13–18.

Art Camp Volunteer Responsibilities
Art Camp Volunteers are responsible for providing general support to Virginia MOCA Art Camp Instructors to include:

  • Assisting instructors with projects and classroom management
  • Helping campers complete assigned projects
  • Distributing, cleaning, and properly caring for studio supplies 
  • Organization and upkeep of studios
  • Mounting artwork for display
  • Monitoring students during lunch, snack, and restroom breaks as needed 

Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, May 12, 2023. 
Applicants will be contacted by June 2, 2023. 

Mandatory Meeting

Art Camp Volunteers are required to attend a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, June 28 from 3–4 PM to review the rules and expectations in preparation for camp.

Virginia MOCA Art Camp runs for 6 weeks from July 10 to August 18. Camps are held Monday through Friday with a morning session and an afternoon session. We ask that Art Camp Volunteers volunteer for the duration of your assigned week(s).  You may volunteer for the morning and/or afternoon session and multiple weeks. Please indicate your availability below.
