VOSS release 8.4.2.0 was removed from the portal due to a defect. Use release 8.4.2.1 instead.

Background

 

VOSS release 8.4.2.0 has a defect where networks could be impacted due to an unintentional network loop that can’t be detected and remedied automatically.

Impact

 
If a network loop occurs, it could result in network downtime and significant business impact.

Symptoms

 
The network loop could potentially be triggered by DHCP requests ingressing on auto-sense or EAP enabled ports. The switches will start flooding DHCP packets unintentionally.

Solution

 
To avoid potential network outages it is recommended to use 8.4.2.1 instead.
