Members of the Northeastern community gathered in New York City for an 'Experience Powered by Northeastern' event and to celebrate the 115th anniversary of the university's signature co-op program.
Northeastern’s Huskiers and Outing Club hopes to rebuild lodge
The Northeastern Huskiers and Outing Club (NUHOC) is one of the university's oldest and largest student organizations. The club owns a lodge in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where they gather to enjoy the outdoors together. In 2015, the lodge burnt down, and now they are fundraising to rebuild it.
David De Cremer is Installed as the Dunton Family Dean
At a ceremony on Northeastern’s Boston campus, David De Cremer, a behavioral scientist, educator, researcher, and author, was formally installed as the second Dunton Family Dean of the D’Amore-McKim School of Business. The university’s first-ever deanship, the position was endowed in 2016 by the late Gary Dunton, DMSB’78, and his wife, Lea Anne.
John Martinson Gives $5 Million to Northeastern’s Honors Program
Venture capitalist and philanthropist John Martinson has donated $5 million to Northeastern’s honors program, which provides first-year students with unique experiential opportunities to learn both inside and outside the classroom. The newly named John Martinson Honors Program will support enhancing integration with the co-op program, and provide students with additional global experiential learning opportunities.
