LEE is a diverse, nonpartisan network of equity-minded leaders at all stages of life and career. We provide 1:1 coaching, meaningful member-to-member connections, and skill-building opportunities to support and inspire members to increase equity everywhere.
LEE is a civic leadership development membership organization currently open to alumni of our partner organizations including Teach For America, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), New Leaders, Latinos for Education, City Teaching Alliance, School Board Partners, Public Allies, and more.
We equip LEE members with the tools, resources, and industry knowledge they need to take collective action and create change in their communities – whether that’s through policymaking, elected leadership, advocacy, or grassroots organizing.
LEE believes that when a diverse group of leaders, grounded in a commitment to equity, are in leadership roles, they can be a transformative force for and with students and communities.
We are committed to ensuring all children have access to an excellent education tailored to their community’s needs. Recognizing that one-size-fits-all doesn’t apply, we emphasize local, impactful solutions, always asking how we can create transformative opportunities for every child.
Everyone has a role in achieving equity, and our impact amplifies when we’re unified. While investing in individual members, we also strengthen our LEE community to advance our collective action. We work to connect our members with one another as well as partners in the broader movements for equity.
We actively engage with all members and communities for joint success. Together, we highlight diverse solutions to real-world challenges. We prioritize voices from racial and economic backgrounds most affected by inequity, as they offer crucial, often underrepresented perspectives on systems and policy.
As a young organization, we operate with an entrepreneurial spirit to learn from our experiences and continuously improve our efforts. As we develop the leadership capacity of our members and their impact, we operate with a sense of urgency and an emphasis on both action and learning.
