Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin School of Information. I’m also an affiliate with the Texas Center for Equity Promotion (TexCEP). I co-direct the REALITY Lab, which centers research at the intersection of social justice, information, and technology.

I earned my Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from Clemson University School of Computing and my M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from Rowan University. My research areas are at the intersection of human-centered computing, accessibility, design, and computing education. I apply human-centered approaches in designing and developing equitable and inclusive technology, emphasizing accessibility. I’m also interested in broadening participation in design education, specifically user experience (UX) design, by developing interventions for improving aware’ awareness, access, and self-efficacy from historically excluded populations.
