Bellevue (Heath)The library plans to reopen in fall quarter. We will be open for reduced hours, M-F 9am-4pm. BC will be a “vaccinated campus”, however no one is permitted to inquire about anyone’s vaccinated status. We are using a booking system (through SpringShare) for all spaces throughout the library. Study room spaces will be restricted to one person. We plan to circulate Reserves, but not yet sure what this will look like. We are in the process of rehiring our ILL/Reserves person in Circulation. We will continue to provide this service.Required in all campus buildings for staff and visitors. We are still following the 6 ft distancing rule until we hear otherwise.Right now we don’t have any time or space limits in place for patron/staff interaction. The 6 ft of physical distancing will still be observed. We are looking at moving our Ref Desk to the end of the Circ Desk and having a monitor facing in and one facing out for the patron. This setup should help with the physical distancing protocols.Information has come out about using plexiglass barriers and how these protocols don't provide any significant protection. We are reaching out to facilities and Flu Team to get some information on our HVAC system and how this interacts with COVID precautions. We will be using tables in front of Circ and Ref to maintain minimum distancing between patrons/students and library staff.

BTC (Dawn) - updated 8/23/21M-Th 7:30-5; F 7:30-3:30Open, one person per roomYes, two hour library use only, with a couple of exceptionsYes, keeping the reservations system, but pickups will happen in the library.Yes, requiredNo official guidelines. Recommending at least 3 feet whenever and wherever possible. No official guidelines. Recommending staff try to keep 3-6 feet when they can, and suggest that they use their own comfort level, and that they share longer interactions with others if necessary. We are a vaccinated campus. Library staff requested permission to require everyone in the space to wear masks. We have plexiglass barriers at all four workstations at the Info Desk. We have pulled extra chairs and rearranged furniture to create space.

Cascadia (and UWB, Sarah)Open our regular hours, depending on how quickly we can hire and train all of our new student employees and fill 2 vacant staff positions, if we're short staffed we may need to adjust weekend and/or late evening hours initially. https://library.uwb.edu/hours Open and reservable, but specific policies still tbd. anticipating that some students will use for synchronous online classes while on campusYes, we're assuming regular loan periodsNo Yes, requiredunlikely unless the UW recommends or requires. so far UW EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) is not recommending except for spacing in designated eating areas on campus.good question, not sure yet.Pre-covid we allowed food and drink in the library, this is unlikely for Fall, I don't see us creating a designated eating area that we are responsible for managing. UW Libraries in Seattle is going to allow drinking/sipping, we're still pondering.

CBC (Sarah)Recently announced we (campus) will remain closed until October 18th. Assuming we do return to full services at that time, the library will operate reduced hours (college business hours). M-Th 7am-4:30pm F 7am-12pm and a few hours a week as needed at our Health Sciences libraryupon reopening... study rooms will be single user only, intended as "zoom rooms" where students can attend zoom classes. Using our existing Springshare LibCal subscription. small air filters have been installed in each study roomcurrently relying on eReserves. upon reopening, Reserves will be available as pre-pandemic. Working with Running Start program to loan any unused textbooks as possibleyes currently, for laptops/hotspots, and Running start textbooks. it's an "event" lasting 3 weeks start of the quarter and 2 weeks end of quarter. Upon reopening, curbside will become self-serviced hold shelf for books, and tabling event outside the library for devicesYes, required on campus indoors for all6 ft in classrooms, 3 ft everywhere elseCurrently none, do not expect any limits upon reopening. However, reference/research consultations will remain 100% virtual until Winter quarter and will continue to be offered multi-modal thereafterCBC is one of the few non-vaccinated campuses for fall quarter. The intention is to move to a vaccinated campus for Winter. As an unvaccinated campus, the College is still working on how students and guests will check-in, health screen, and complete required attestations. Food and drink will not be allowed, we'll have closed stacks (because of monitoring issues) with staff retrieval.

Centralia CollegeM-F 8:00am-5:00pmOne study room available; wipe down after each useWe don't do many reserves; library use onlyNo curbside available for the library.Yes, required on campus.Depends on government regulations at the time. No time limits. We've been open two days a week since October and students, faculty, and staff socially distance. The library will have a door monitor (student worker) at the main entrance of the library to check masks and direct students to computer for sign-in which is used for contact tracing

CPTC (Deb)M-F 7:30am-4:30pmOpen, with reduced capacity (1 per room for most; 4 per room for two). Our IT folks are working with us to streamline study room reservations in 25Live. Yes - AND, we're likely to change our loan period from in-library to 7-daynot offered as one of our services anymore, but if someone really needs it, we'll be happy to obligeRequiredOur College safety team has encouraged, but not required, physical distancng for the Fall. We'll move some of our furniture back to where it was, but not all, to encourage at least 3 feet of distance. No time limits. We've been open all summer, and staff (library, computer lab, elearning, and tutoring) have been good at keeping a safe distance when we interact with students. CPTC has building monitors all across campus, as part of our check-in process. When we opened with limited hours in the Spring Quarter, we asked to have building monitors in the Learning Resource Center. Because we are a tiny team, I'm not sure that we could have opened without the added presence of our monitors! It's been so incredibly helpful to have folks in the vestibule who are making sure patrons are complying with attestation and masking requirements, so we can just tend to their learning needs (with the occasional "Please wear your mask!" sprinkled in there...)

Grays Harbor College (Susan)Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5pm.We will decide the week before classes start. Am leaning towards keeping them closed because we do not want to have to police the mask requirement Ended up using two of the four for other purposes, and the other two are available as normal. Traffic is light, so not a huge demand for the rooms. Regular use. Mostly in library use only, with some exceptions. Not offered as one of our services anymore, but if someone really needs it, we'll be happy to oblige assuming front desk is staffed. Example - people who have to quarantine. Required. Not required as we are (supposedly) a fully vaccinated campus. So far not needed. We will not be allowing food and drink in, unlike before, because of mask mandates. We are also extremely short staffed, so some of our library hours cuts may be permanent if unexpected budget cuts stay permanent. Since we are such a small staff we can be pretty flexible, and will add or subtract services depending on needs, outbreaks, etc.

Highline (Gerie) : Updated column I 10/05/21Sept 7—December 17 : Monday 10am - 6pm Tuesday 10am - 3pm Wednesday 10am - 6pm Thursday 10am - 3pmThe floor where the study rooms are will be closed until January.in library use only. Cloth masks available to give to patrons if they don’t have one.Required. Only 2 chairs maximum at rectangular study tables. Tables are distanced. Every other computer is turned off; mice and keyboards have been removed.Interactions less than 15 minutes are ideal; face shields are available for staff use.Note: Current Highline students and employees only on computers or at study tables. No public borrowers allowed. No need to reserve computers or study tables. We have flyers to give out if public wants to visit our two surrounding KCLS librares for more expanded library services.

LCC (Lindsay)M-F, 8am-5pm in our Student Center's conference rooms due to ongoing library remodelwill be availableupon requestrequired by all3 ftnoneStaff will work on a rotation (on site vs. remote) so that library, tutoring, and eLearning services are provided for students at all times but distancing is maintained.

LWT (Greg)Open less than pre-pandemic due to staffing cuts. Probably M-Th 9am-6pm; F 9am-1pm or something similar.Study rooms have been open with a limit of one group per day, during the summer. Social distancing requirements are apparently going away in the fall and if that happens, we may adjust. See masks below.Reserves are and will continue to be available.Curbside has declined significantly since we reopened this quarter. We will probably discontinue all curbside services except for printing, which we may do since we’ve been covering all student printing costs with the bookstore closed (the bookstore is responsible for re-up cards for student printing).Masks will continue to be required by all at the college, even after vaccination requirements. Masks work, by the way. Spread the news.Currently 3 ft; expected to disappear in the Fall. We’ve removed all in-person librarian consultation during the summer but will probably bring it back in the fall.As of right now, our unions still have not negotiated with administration despite the administration announcing that the college would be requiring vaccinations in the fall, so there’s a lot that’s up in the air. But yes, the variant. So all these points may be moot or mutated.
16
North (Aryana)North is still negotiating on breadth of open hoursCollege will have a mask mandate; required attestation before coming on campus, but no proof required of having completed the attestation.Goal is to be a vaccinated campus...what that looks like will impact whether we have social distancing or limits on numbers in one space at one timeExperimenting with a hybrid form of reference service, shorter hours of availability, but available both F2F (during physical open hours) and online (during a longer stretch of "open" hours).

Olympic (Erica)Monday & Thursday & Friday - 10:00-5:00; Tuesday & Wednesday – 10:00pm - 7:00pmNot planning to open study rooms. They are in the basement and we are concerned about ventilation and staffing needed to monitor the space.Reserves are currently available Mon. & Thurs. 11-4, Tues. & Wed. 11-6Masks required for all of campusNot necessary but 3 ft. recommended.Recommended to limit reference transactions to 15 minutes with online followup as neededVirtual Monday, Thursday 3:00-7:00 / Tuesday, Wednesday 9:00-1:00. May also offer Zoom appointments with librarians outside of chat. We are also short staffed - hiring two faculty (1 ft and 1 adjunct). Added a check-in process for students to support contact tracing. Not open to the public.

Required indoors for all.No longer required, but departments can regulate as we feel comfortable.NoneLibrarians will teach evening class sessions on an as needed basis even though the library is not open in evenings this quarter. Students on campus need to be vaccinated, those taking online courses do not need to be vaccinated, but there is no monitoring or tracking of unvaccinated online students who come onto campus to use services like the library.
23
SPSCC (Amy)M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.mWe aren’t opening the study roomsWe aren’t doing many reserves: we’ve been checking them out all quarter, but now we’ll move to in-house use only.NoYes, masks are required on campus, vaccinated or notUnless things change by state/federal order, no physical distancing. No, but we are encouraging virtual interactions for longer research questions, even if the librarian and patron are in the library. Whatever makes them both comfortable.
24
Spokane Falls CC (Heather)M-F 7:15-2:30 in personWe only have 3 available. 1 can be used for groups up to 4 ppl (masks required). Students are using them for Zoom classes mostly. Reservations can be made up to a week in advance. Maximum of 2hour time slots. In library use.No. Yes for all, per Governor's mandate.None required, but we are continuing to space seating for social distancing.Second floor of the library remains closed due to lack of staffing. Virtual reference via Zoom will continue to be encouraged.Librarians will be "on-call" in the library for in person reference help. Librarians will be assigned virtual reference coverage from 12p-5p.
25
TCC (Candice)Yes, M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.Closed. Cubicles available.Yes, students can enter the library when they want to check in/out reservesNoYes, masks are required on campus, vaccinated or notI don't believe this is a requirement anymore since we are a vaccinated college, but we will continue to practice some form of physical distancing in the library, whether at the front counter for students waiting to check out materials or in the use of every other computer in the library. No, just encouraging staff to practice social distancing when they can.
26
WWCC (Jackie)Yes, M-F, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.One person onlyYes, we will circulate reserves. These are LUO. We also circulate a collection of textbooks funded by TRiO for students in that program. These circulate quarterly and maybe picked up in person or mailed to the student (TRiO pays for the postage). This hasn't come up. We have mailed items to folks. I felt this was necessary to ensure equitable access to resources whether one had reliable/consistent transportation or not. I was able to uses CARES $$$ for this.Yes, masks are required on campus, vaccinated or notI think we will be moving to the 3 foot rule; but this doesn't really change our current practices much. Computer work stations can allow two users under this change but desks, etc are still designed for one person only. No, we have encouraged social distancing and try to observe this as best we can.WWCC is a vaccinated campus and is following the governor's mandate that employees be vaccinated (with medical/religious exceptions). Student will be (my understanding) asked to be vaccinated but can aside from medical/religious exception can also elect for a philosophical exception.
27
WCC (Howard)Yes, 8 am – 9 pm, Monday – Thursday; 8- 5 on Friday; and 5-9pm on Sunday. As yet to be determined but will probably open them up.Yes, but we changed reserves check out to one week last year and it will remain one week this fall.Yes, by request. We’ve had zero curb-side requests since allowing student and employees into the library.Yes, required.Yes, still 6 ft.No, nor do we now.We also require any student or employee on campus to be vaccinated. This info will be held in mini-soft (?) and accessible to the Learning Commons front desk staff where people will have to check in and attest as they enter the building. And we are planning to be open to only students and employees. As an aside, I believe WWU library has announced it will allow in the public come September.
28
WVC (Jeannie)Yes, M-F, 9 am-5 pm in Wenatchee, M-Th, 9 am-5 pm in OmakOpen with bookings optional, not required. Up to 4 per room with 3 ft social distancing depending on the size of the study room.Because our libraries open we've moved back to "library use only" 2-hour checkouts for reserves, with some options for overnight borrowing.Available by request, but so far this quarter no one has asked for it. Yes, masks are required on campus, vaccinated or not.We are a vaccinated campus, so we've moved to 3 ft social distancing at a minimum. Computer work stations are still set up with every other one marked "off limits," but we're looking at whether opening up all of the stations is safe/allowable now with the 3 ft distancing guidance. No, but social distancing is encouraged and practiced. We are a "vaccinated" campus, but there's a good percentage of students and staff who have sought and received exemptions. Everyone must complete a COVID symptom form every day when coming to campus for any reason.
