Interprofessional Longitudinal Clinical Experience (ILCE)Yale School of Medicine > Medical Education at Yalehttps://medicine.yale.edu/education/curriculum/ilce/. The Interprofessional Longitudinal Clinical Experience (ILCE) is designed to prepare first-year health professional students to function effectively in the clinical environment. The structure and content of the curriculum is based on the needs of our current healthcare and academic environment. The Yale School of Nursing (YSN), in conjunction with the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) and the Yale Physician Associate (PA) program, faculty guide groups of students in planned interprofessional clinical experiences in a consistent clinical setting. Preceptors role model and teach clinical/communication skills to new first year students in an inpatient setting. Sessions occur approximately 2x/month between September and March (2 hr sessions on Mon or Friday afternoons). It can be divided between 2, or possibly 3 faculty (so either 14 or 9 sessions/faculty).kirsten.wilkins@yale.edu // pnina.weiss@yale.edu
