Yale Student Film Festival Board Application
The Yale Student Film Festival (YSFF) is a student-run short film festival, providing the opportunity for university-level filmmakers to exhibit their work. The festival went international in 2016, accepting twenty films from abroad. The festival is run entirely by students. YSFF will be hosting social events throughout the year to give the opportunity for the film community at Yale to connect and grow.

Publicity & Outreach Coordinator
Responsible for social media outreach. Coordinates with graphic designer to generate all promotional material. Communicates with other Universities to encourage submissions. Secures press for the festival. Responsible for ALL things related to the outward image of the festival.
Director of Programming
Heads the programming committee in determining selected films; leads meetings. Has direct control over films being shown. IMPORTANT: The Director cannot select films or cast a vote. They can only check to confirm the films are eligible and appropriate. Determines order of films.
Treasurer
Handles all the finances and the budget of the festival. They will work closely with the other Coordinator. Must have good organization skills.
Event Coordinator
Handle all logistic details related to venues, catering, and hospitality for the festival, including communication with venues and vendors.
Technical Coordinator
Works with projectionist to make sure films are screened at highest quality. Ensures all media-based workshops and events are fully functional. Communicates with film distributors to order physical media.

Graphic Designer
Creates all image-based media for promotion of the film festival as well as the physical festival program.
Webmaster
Updates the festival website on a regular basis. Is responsible for the creation of all facebook/eventbrite events, and making sure they are linked and consistent across platforms
