FEEST Youth Leader Application 2021-2022
FEEST is a youth organizing program at Chief Sealth, Rainier Beach, Franklin, Evergreen and Tyee High Schools. We’re offering an exciting paid opportunity for youth who are interested in health and social justice to build organizing skills and make positive change in your school food system!

In the FEEST program you will receive leadership training, develop facilitation & public speaking skills, learn about social justice, and build youth power to create more equitable school systems in the Seattle and Highline School Districts.

This program is 4 hours per week. You will be paid a bi-monthly stipend which breaks down to $17/hour.
Schedule:
All Team meeting- Tuesdays 4:30-6:30pm on ZOOM
HSD Team Meeting- Wednesdays 4-6pm
SPS Team Meeting- Thursdays 4:40-6:30pm

Some of your fellowship experiences and responsibilities will include:

- Build your knowledge around social issues and develop leadership skills in two, 2 hour weekly team meetings
- Lead community events to hear student concerns about school food and health in our schools
- Collaborate and build power with other youth leaders at Rainier Beach, Tyee, Franklin, Evergreen, and Chief Sealth High Schools
- Build a campaign with your school district to get decision makers to implement student solutions
- Gain leadership and job skills, build your resume for college applications
- Laugh, sing, hang out, connect with other youth leaders, and make a positive change!

TO QUALIFY FOR CONSIDERATION APPLICANTS MUST :
-Be a full time Tyee, Rainier Beach, Chief Sealth, Franklin, or Evergreen student
-Must NOT be in running start, PSSC, or any school sports
