Mission has been training future veterinarians in the practice of spectrum of care medicine as an external rotation for senior veterinary students at the University of Minnesota. (NOTE: University of Minnesota Students should continue to use VCROSS for their application.) We know that by naming, identifying and teaching the spectrum of care approach to veterinary medicine, we can influence the next generation of veterinarians to practice in a community-centric way that increases the accessibility of veterinary medicine on a broad scale. To that end, Mission is expanding our externship offering to all veterinary medicine students starting in May 2023.
See rotation dates that are currently available for 2023-2024 (listed as "OPEN") on the calendar.
(Note: the open 2-week blocks are subject to change anytime.) If you do not see an OPEN block for your requested time, you can contact Sonja Hendrickson to discuss any other options.
In the form that follows, please indicate your available rotation date options and we will respond within 1 week.
More information about the rotation can be found here. Travel and housing information can be found here. For scheduling questions, and any questions about the rotation please contact Ashley Danowski (studentexternships@missionah.org)
