RSVP: TWAIL, Geopolitical Competition, and Non-Western Imperialisms Conference, incl. LPE's Money Empire and the Law

Please join Professors Aslı Ü. Bâli, Ntina Tzouvala, and Tendayi Achiume for a conference entitled “TWAIL, Geopolitical Competition and the Rise of Non-Western Imperialisms” which will take place from Thursday, April 11 through Saturday, April 13th at Yale Law School.

"The rise of non-Western hegemons raises an array of issues including the interplay between the global political economy, emerging hegemons across multiple regions and the distinct challenges and opportunities presented for smaller states that might find themselves caught between geopolitical rivals. The shifting distribution of geopolitical power has important implications for conceptions of Third World solidarity, non-alignment and theorizing (neo-)imperialism. This workshop will provide an opportunity to explore these themes and their consequences for international law and international order from a variety of theoretical and disciplinary perspectives."

The YLS LPE Student Group in conjunction with Professors Aslı Ü. Bâli and Ntina Tzouvala and the LPE Project will also hold an event on Saturday April 13th, 9AM - 4PM ET at the Yale Law School for entitled "Money, Empire & the Law." in companion with the broader conference.
