PADNET Internship application
Gain valuable experience with an internship.

Public Access Digital Network offers unpaid college internships for students who are interested in media production and are currently enrolled in an educational institution.

PADNET interns are trained in all aspects of studio and field production, from set design to lighting to audio. We’ve placed our most skilled interns in crew positions as studio camera operators, floor managers, and assistant directors. Interns who work on our productions will receive screen credit.

Our interns are involved in post-production responsibilities including data management, logging, transcribing, and converting files. There’s opportunities to edit short promos, public service announcements, and long-form programming using Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X. Intern can also practice using After Effects and Photoshop for graphic creation.

To help the organization succeed, we'll also ask for support with our day-to-day operations by training interns on how to schedule the public access channel, engage with members to foster our community of content creators, and create social media posts to promote our community media center. There are also opportunities to attend local events to represent PADNET and Long Beach Community Action Partnership.

Check out this playlist of videos that were produced, filmed, and edited entirely by our past interns. They’ve set a high bar! We’re looking for applicants that are ready to aim even higher.
