As part of the developmental guidance program at Benfield Elementary School, some students are invited to participate in small counseling groups (grades 1-5). Children who share common concerns often benefit by meeting together to receive support through talking, learning, and sharing with one another. Participation in these groups is voluntary. The small groups are typically held once a week during student lunch times and run for approximately 8 weeks. If you would like your child to be considered for participation in a group to work on one or some of the childhood concerns listed below, please complete and submit this form.
     Please know that groups are created based off of the need presented at each grade level and are held at different times throughout the year. I will do my best to include as many students as possible but unfortunately, not all interested students will fit into a group each year. If your student is selected to participate, you will receive a permission form prior to their first group meeting. Thanks!
