The main goal of our panel is to bring professionals from all over the world who have experience with international student-friendly companies to share their personal and professional experiences.
Maureen Haverty is COO of Apollo Fusion, a Silicon Valley space propulsion startup. Ms. Maureen received her Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering at The University of Manchester. She worked in nuclear fuel performance and spent fuel management at the UK’s National Nuclear Lab, prior to joining Apollo Fusion. She established Apollo Fusion’s manufacturing systems, pioneering the use of contract manufacturing for satellite propulsion. Apollo Fusion’s manufacturing approach allows us to deliver faster and in higher volumes than our competitors across a range of diverse missions from commercial constellations to defense missions. Dr. Maureen has a particular interest in how small, R&D focused startups can maintain their speed and nimbleness while delivering on large, technically rigorous programs. Ms. Haverty manages a number of programs, including commercial constellations and government programs. She also leads our interactions with ranges, launch providers, and regulatory agencies. Dr. Maureen is excited to share her knowledge and experience with us on her career path including tips on networking and much more!
