Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) focuses on digital access and inclusion for the more than one billion people alive today who live with disabilities or impairments. The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking, and learning about digital access and inclusion.

Description
Learn strategies and best practices to increase the accessibility of your daily meetings and documents. From leveraging features built-in to Microsoft Office to understanding how to best present visual information, attendees will gain practical methods to enhance accessibility in their digital interactions.
Additional opportunities for learning and engagement will be highlighted, including other GAAD activities and a digital accessibility event co-hosted by Northeastern University Future Leaders and the Disability Alliance.

Northeastern is diligently working to expand resources and knowledge, and on crafting a sustainable, achievable roadmap for accessibility growth. As this work continues, it’s up to each member of the community to consider their impact on accessibility and inclusion.
The learning path is provided to help you understand the impact of accessibility and how you can can improve the accessibility of your workplace, classrooms, and communities everyday. Each of the 21 days will provide carefully chosen activities, with additional activities for any topic that you’d like to explore further.
