Community Workshop, Climate Resilience in Cumberland County & Carlisle, December 15, 2-5 pm
Complete the form below to register and reserve your place in this highly interactive workshop in which you can engage in conversation with fellow community members to learn and share perspectives about climate risks in our region, strategies for building climate resilience, and priorities for action. Severe and extreme weather in the changing climate pose growing risks to county residents' health and wellbeing, the local economy, businesses, farms, and jobs, infrastructure, provision of electricity, water, transportation, and other services, and to the environment. With thoughtful planning and community input, it is possible to limit the risks and build resilience. Come share your ideas about risks of greatest concern and needed actions.
All are welcome. Participants
will be entered in a drawing to win door prizes. Hot coffee, tea, cocoa, and
other beverages plus sweet and savory snacks will be served.
CHILDREN ARE WELCOME TOO. Bring your children to participate in the workshop or to entertain themselves in the Children's Game and Reading Corner. Have them bring a favorite game, books, tablet, etc.
The workshop will be held at Dickinson College in the Community Room of Allison Hall, located at 99 Mooreland Avenue in Carlisle, PA. Park in the parking lot to the south of Allison Hall. The Allison Community Room can be accessed through the doorway from the parking lot.
The workshop program and other information will be emailed to registrants on December 12.
