About the presenters:

Dr. Laura Bozzi is the Director of Programs at the Yale University Climate Change and Health Initiative and a lecturer in Environmental Health Sciences at the Yale School of Public Health. Prior to this role, she led the Climate Change Program at the Rhode Island Department of Health. Her work seeks to address climate change’s negative health impacts and promote health equity through policy change, scholarship and research, and supporting communities to build resilience and capacity. Laura served as lead author of the “Community Resilience and Health” chapter for the Rhode Island Governor- commissioned Statewide Climate Resiliency Action Strategy, released in June 2018. Over her career, she has worked across the United States — from Oregon and West Virginia to Washington, DC and Rhode Island – in environmental protection, food systems, and fisheries. Laura holds a Ph.D. in Forestry and Environmental Studies and a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, both from Yale University. Laura lives in Cold Spring and serves on the Village Board of Trustees

David Gelber is the co-creator and executive producer of THE YEARS PROJECT, which produces YEARS OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY, an Emmy-winning documentary series broadcast on National Geographic. The New York Times described YEARS as “The best American television series ever done on climate change.” THE YEARS PROJECT has become the premiere destination for educating and communicating all aspects of the climate issue. The Guardian calls YEARS “the most important climate change multimedia communication in history.” David Gelber served as Ed Bradley’s producer at 60 Minutes® for twenty-five years, during which he won every major journalism award, including a Peabody, two DuPont Awards, and eight Emmy® Awards. During the nineties, Gelber was executive producer of Peter Jennings Reporting at ABC News®. He spent two winters in Sarajevo producing documentaries on the Bosnian Conflict. He returned to CBS News® in 1996 to head the Ed Bradley Unit. A story he did with Scott Pelley on medical charlatans who peddle bogus stem cell therapy to patients dying of ALS won the Emmy for Best Investigative Story of 2010 from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Gelber graduated from Swarthmore College in 1963. Swarthmore awarded him an honorary doctorate in May, 2017.
