Protect Yourself: Wash Your Hands!

While there is still much we don’t know about the recent outbreak of the new coronavirus, COVID-19, one thing is very clear:

It’s especially during times like these that having a UNION matters!

SEIU 721 has received many concerns from member leaders and Meet and Confers with various county and government agencies are being scheduled or are already underway. These meetings are being scheduled in a united effort to pro-actively collaborate with management to help ensure worker safety by making sure employers are providing necessary equipment, plans and procedures to protect our members.

The chances of contracting this virus is low and it’s important that we stay calm while also being cautious and diligent. There are several preventative measures we can all take to stay safe, starting with proper and frequent hand washing.

Watch the video above to see SEIU 721 Registered Nurses Terri Thompson and Fiona Henlon demonstrate proper hand washing techniques as outlined by the World Health Organization.

Stay tuned for more information about COVID-19 and other ways you can stay safe and help reduce the risk of spread. Share this video with your friends and families and remember to wash those hands!

We don’t know how low it is. I am a high risk individual in a Courthouse teaming with people exposure. The Governor says that people like me should stay home. What protections do you have for members such as I?
