David Hirshberg is a pseudonym—a name he chose in honor and memory of David Streger, his father-in-law, and William Hirshberg, his maternal grandfather. Historical literary fiction is his genre; there is not a single character or situation from his life that appears in any of his novels. It is all invention. He writes historical fiction about the American Jewish experience.
