A.S.C.E.N.D. (Asian-American and Native American Pacific Islander Student Success Center & Development) Scholarship

A.S.C.E.N.D. (Asian-American and Native American Pacific Islander Student Success Center & Development) aims to prepare target students and to enhance student’s potential toward their future success. ASCEND scholarships supplement academic needs toward increasing postsecondary education access, affordability, and completion by offering tuition scholarships, subsistence aid, or academic/classroom/research support for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students to improve student’s educational success through timely graduation and excellent GPA.

Criteria:

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6;
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident;
  • Undergraduate students with STEM majors from College of Business (COB), College of Engineering (COE), College of Health and Human Services (CHHS), College of Liberal Arts (CLA), or College of Natural Science and Mathematics (CNSM);
  • COB: Information Systems;
  • COE: All majors;
  • CHHS: Dietetics & Food Administration – Food Science, Dietetics & Food Administration – Nutrition & Dietetics, Kinesiology (potentially all 4 options, excluding Exercise Science), and Nursing;
  • CLA: Environmental Science & Policy;
  • CNSM: All majors;
  • Students with need for support prior to improving their academic affordability, graduation, and GPA through the application process.
