Physical Presents: A Multidisciplinary Collaborative Performance

A dance and musical collaborative performance between The Experimental Sound Project, Distinguished Guest Yvonne Meier, & PMA Dance Improvisation with Danielle Russo.

The title, "Physical Presents," refers to coexisting interpretations of time, physicality, and art, especially as these concepts relate to technological performance mediation. The performance will feature spatialized sound, wearable sonic instruments, and movement. Through prompted movement and sound, we will interrogate the notion of change within physical bodies. Does the body exist as a historical medium (as in for reanimation/retrospective/prosopopoeia), a medium and conduit for performance art, or a medium for interfacing with technology?
