Resolve Law LA & Superior Court of Los Angeles County’s Virtual PI Hub Mandatory Settlement Conference Program Town Hall
Monday, June 28, 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
LA’s volunteer attorney staffed PI Hub MSC program has gone virtual. This Town Hall will provide valuable information about how the virtual settlement program operates, including key features of the integrated Zoom platform. We ask all lawyers to attend this Town Hall to learn how to volunteer as Settlement Officers and learn about what cases qualify for the program.
About
Resolve Law LA
In 2017, ASCDC, CAALA, and LA ABOTA partnered with leadership from LASC and developed a successful Personal Injury (PI) Mandatory Settlement Conference (MSC) program. Cases ordered into the program from the PI Hub were provided a free 3-hour MSC in which one Defense attorney and one Plaintiff’s attorney partnered to act as settlement officers. Approximately 50% of the cases ordered into the program settled.

In recent months, the court’s leadership and ASCDC, CAALA, and LA ABOTA, with strong support from the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation, have once again partnered to take this same program to a virtual platform, Resolve Law LA. As before, volunteer Plaintiff and Defense attorneys act as Settlement Officers in cases ordered into the program from the PI Hub, but now the MSCs will be virtual and conducted via Zoom.

The Resolve Law LA website is now live and accepting volunteer Settlement Officer registrations for the initial round of MSCs, through August 31, 2021. MSCs are scheduled Monday through Friday, excluding court holidays, at 9 am-12:00 pm and 1:30-4:30 pm, and will be conducted through the Resolve Law LA website in the integrated Zoom platform. If you have 10 or more years of litigation experience, please register now and volunteer as a Plaintiff Settlement Officer, Defense Settlement Officer, or neutral Settlement Officer.

If you have cases pending in the PI Hub or wish to serve as a Volunteer Settlement Officer, please register to attend the June 28, 2021 Town Hall webinar. You will receive valuable information about how this virtual settlement program operates, including key features of the integrated Zoom platform.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, only members of ASCDC, Beverly Hills Bar Association, CAALA and LA ABOTA with 10 years or more of litigation experience are eligible to serve as Settlement Officers. If you are not a member of one of these organizations, please join!
