TESTING NEWS
Important information from College Board for
students taking AP test!

Students taking an AP exam in May should have received notification for College Board via email. The information contained in the email includes instructions for logging in and completing the test. If you need to change your email address on file with College Board or have not received an email, please follow the steps below.

  1. The first step is to have students log-in to their College Board account and verify their email address. While they are in there, they should also check to make sure that their phone number is up to date and that they given the College Board permission to text them.
  2. If the email is correct and one that they are checking, they then should add collegeboard@e.collegeboard.org as part of their approved senders list. Then check their spam/junk for that email address.
  3. If those steps do not work, they should then reach out to customer service: 888-225-5427 and/or apstudents@info.collegeboard.org
For up-to-date CollegeBoard information use this link: CollegeBoard

COUNSELOR CORNER - GUIDANCE
In this time of COVID-19, St. Johns County School District would like to provide only juniors and seniors still needing community service hours for the Bright Futures Scholarship an opportunity to earn those hours. This status will be verified before students participating in this virtual community service option are awarded hours. Bright Futures Scholarship requirements can be found here

What is the service opportunity?
Students can write cards, emails and/or letters to anyone on the attached list or a general note to be delivered to seniors in nursing homes, school nurses, first responders and/or school youth resource deputies. Students will not receive a note in return as these notes are more to show appreciation and provide words of encouragement to these individuals. Below are some tips for writing these notes.
How do I get community service hours?
Students will receive 1 hour per note up to the number of hours they need for Bright Futures, maximum. These notes should be at least 2 paragraphs in length, 3-5 sentences per paragraph, and notes will be screened prior to sending. Notes not meeting these guidelines will not be awarded community service hours. Please send all notes to Cheryl Freeman who will then send them on to the appropriate note recipient. Cheryl will also keep track of the number of notes per student which will then be sent to high schools to input for Bright Futures Community Service Hours. This opportunity will be available until the last day of school for students, May 27th, 2020.
As National Nurses Week is May 6-12, we would appreciate notes to school nurses being prioritized. Creekside's nurse is Mrs. Pat Hardy.
Cheryl's Contact Information
Address: Cheryl Freeman, 40 Orange Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084

Community Service Hours should be emailed

We encourage you to check our senior website http://www-chs.stjohns.k12.fl.us/seniors/ frequently for updated information regarding important dates and information.

As a service to students and families, NACAC is providing this online tool as a central resource for information about changes in college admission events, deposit dates, and more as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
The chart in the link (button below), includes updates from colleges and universities worldwide. Select the “+” symbol next to any category to narrow the results. To view alphabetically by school, click on "Institutions" and then the school's name. This tool will update in real-time as we receive input from postsecondary institutions. To export a copy of these results, click on the three elipses in the upper right corner of this downloadable version .
We hope this resource will make it easier for students and others to navigate the college admission process during this unprecedented time.
