Funerals for 2 Bristol officers scheduled for Friday
Two police officers killed in an ambush-style attack at a home in Bristol will be laid to rest Friday.

5h agoTwo police officers killed in an ambush-style attack at a home in Bristol will be laid to rest Friday.
The funerals for both Officer Alex Hamzy and Sgt. Dustin DeMonte will be held at Rentschler Field at Pratt and Whitney Stadium in East Hartford.
All Bristol schools will be closed on Friday for the joint funeral.
Both officers were shot and killed on Oct 12. while responding to a call for a domestic dispute at a home on Redstone Hill Road around 10:30 p.m.
Officer Alec Iurato was shot in the leg and injured, but managed to kill the suspect, 35-year-old Nicholas Brutcher.
The state's Inspector General says Brucher waited for officers to arrive to the home before firing upon them from behind.
