Following hundreds of nominations nationwide and a national vote yielding more than 20,000 votes, Brooke Childers has been named the 2024 Armed Forces Insurance Georgia Spouse of the Year. The Liberty County native resides in Savannah with her three children and husband Jason, a cyber warrant officer in the Georgia Army National Guard.

Childers serves her community as the district director for U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter. The 2023 graduate of Leadership Southeast Georgia is serving her second term as president of the AUSA Marne Chapter.  Childers is active in her church and is a proud Paul Harris Foundation Rotarian. She was honored in 2021 becoming a Georgia Southern University 40 under 40 recipient.

“The award of Georgia Spouse of the Year and nomination for National Guard Spouse of the Year is a great honor that I do not take lightly. I hope this will amplify my advocacy for the National Guard and their family members,” Childers said.

Childers is a finalist for Armed Forces Insurance National Guard Spouse of the Year, with voting opening to the public today.

In its 16th year, Armed Forces Insurance continues to celebrate the commitment of over 1.1 million military spouses nationwide.
