ST. THOMAS MORE GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

St. Thomas More Girls Volleyball Program

St. Thomas More Volleyball teams compete in the Catholic Metro Volleyball League which consists of 2 GIRLS divisions: 5th/6th grade division and 7th/8th grade division. Our volleyball program is open to all rising 5th through 8th grade girls. Each team has a minimum of 9 and maximum of 12 players. Teams are evenly balanced by skill level and all players receive playing time based upon league rules. No experience is needed.

Matches are played on Saturday mornings and team practices are held once a week.

STM Fall 2024 Volleyball

St Thomas More Fall 2024 Girls Volleyball Program

The St. Thomas More ("STM") Volleyball Program is run by volunteers of the STM Athletic Ministry. The program is open to rising 5th through 8th grade girls. Beginners are welcome - no previous play experience is required!

Our volleyball teams compete in the Catholic Metro Volleyball League (CMVL), which comprises Catholic schools/parishes throughout the metro area. The CMVL consists of 2 GIRLS divisions: 5th/6th grade division and 7th/8th grade division. Each team has a minimum of 9 and maximum of 12 players. Teams are evenly balanced by skill level and all players receive playing time based upon league rules.

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, however you may register your daughter on a waitlist if the registration is full. If you are accepted from the waitlist, you will be sent a reminder email to login to your Sports Connect account and pay your outstanding balance.

Please note: CMVL works in conjunction with the Catholic Metro Soccer League, so no U12 (5th/6th grade) girls or U14 (7th/8th grade) soccer games will be scheduled during volleyball games.

General Information:

Registration will open from May 15th until July 19th
The season lasts for 6 weeks and a tournament is played at the end of the season
Emails will be sent to those that registered for practice start dates and times

Season Dates:

Week 1 - August 10th
Week 2 - August 17th
Week 3 - August 24th
Labor Day Weekend August 31st - NO GAMES
Week 4- September 7th
Week 5 - September 14th
Week 6 - September 21st
Tournament September 28th and 29th

Match Information:

We will play two teams every Saturday
Scoring (rally scoring) is best 2 out of 3 games played
Matches generally begin anytime between 9am and 12pm. Occasionally we may have a 1pm start time
Each match will last one hour

Registration Cost - $175

Jersey Fee (if needed) - $25. Returning players will reuse the jerseys from the previous season, but have the opportunity during registration to purchase a new jersey. New registrants to the program will need to purchase a jersey. Please note that if you order your child's jersey AFTER the closing date there is no guarantee you will receive either the size requested or the jersey before the start of the season.

Please note the following refund processes for cancellations after registration:

A $35 refund fee will be charged for cancellations before 7/28; a $70 refund fee will be charged for cancellations between 7/29 and 8/10; and no refunds will be allowed after 8/10.

Jersey Refund Policy: You will receive a refund for a purchased jersey if you cancel your child's registration 7/28. However, after 7/28 there will be NO refunds for jerseys purchased.

Coaches & Volunteers:

We need coaches! Please email [email protected] if you’re interested in being either a head coach or assistant coach. No experience necessary - we will train you and it counts towards More Love Hours.

We will also need volunteers to help with the program including gym setup, clean up, team communication, line judging, and other program coordination. This also counts towards More Love Hours.
