Now Hiring: temporary Part-time Education Justice Organizer

The Center on Policy Initiatives is an independent nonprofit that has been at the forefront of the fight for economic justice since 1997. We are the San Diego County people’s think tank. We conduct research, generate policy solutions, advance leadership development, and build alliances to win policies that benefit working families and diverse communities.

About the Position

The part-time Organizer will help advance CPI’s education justice work by engaging and building power among students and parents to drive long-term change in the San Diego Unified School District. Working as part of a team, the Organizer will spend the majority of the time in the field, meeting and engaging people where they are.

Core Responsibilities

Hours and Time Period

This is a temporary part-time position, for about 20 hours per week, starting approximately June 12, 2023, through December 15, 2023. Dates are flexible.

Compensation

CPI’s salaries are competitive and reflect our commitment to economic justice and equal pay for equal work. This is a non-exempt (hourly) position with a pay range from $31.58 per hour to $38.87 per hour. This position is eligible for and receives paid sick leave and holidays.
