Elizabeth Borsting

Elizabeth Borsting is a seasoned publicist and travel writer with more than 30 years of experience specializing in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Her first client was the Yard House, which remained a client for 20 years, where she started promoting their only location in Long Beach to helping open 60 restaurants nationwide.  Other clients have included the Queen Mary, Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau, Del Frisco’s Grill, Grill Concepts, Michael’s Restaurant Group, Dreambox, Wine of the Month Club, AVIA Hotels and many other boutique inns, destination marketing organizations and independent restaurants as well as national brands.

Elizabeth is also the founder and organizer of Dine Out Long Beach, Restaurant & Cocktail Week, an annual event designed to promote and showcase the dining scene throughout Long Beach celebrating its eighth year February 18-28. She has authored nine travel guides and has been a contributing writer and editor for various newspapers and magazines, including the Los Angeles Times, Honeymoon Magazine, National Geographic Traveler and Orange Coast Magazine, to name a few.

Elizabeth earned an Associate Arts degree from Fullerton College along with a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach, where she majored in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. While at CSULB, she interned for one of the largest entertainment public relations agencies, Rogers & Cowan, and also worked in shopping center marketing as well as the non-profit sector before finding her passion for hospitality public relations aboard the Queen Mary, where she served as PR Manager for more than three years. In addition to her own public relations consulting and feature writing, she is the West Coast Account Manager for New York-based Development Counsellors International where she oversees public relations for a plethora of destination marketing organizations and hospitality clients.
