The global health emergency caused by the COVID 19 virus is far from over, but we still need to reflect its impact on how and what we teach in our international business courses. When we meet our students again this Fall (in person or online), we need to address at least two issues. First, we should ask ourselves how the content of what we teach should be modified. Where, in the curriculum, are the best opportunities to infuse new concepts or accentuate existing topics? Second, should we alter our pedagogical tools in any way? What opportunities are there for experiential and classroom activities?
This webinar features Professor S. Tamer Cavusgil as the principal speaker. Rejoinders will be provided by Professor Saeed Samiee from University of Tulsa, Professor Manuel Serapio from University of Colorado-Denver, and Dr. Maria Luiza Pinho from Georgia State University.
Key take-aways:
- Learn about best opportunities to integrate disruption-related concepts into the IB curriculum, especially in teaching the introductory IB course;
- Learn about pedagogical tools for incorporating into your teaching that would reinforce your course objectives; and
- Receive a list of exercises, cases, videos, and other teaching materials helpful in addressing such global disruptions as the health pandemic.
