Jeremy James is a graduate student and teaching assistant in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at North Carolina State University. His latest research project explores social capital and racial biases in the K-12 system with African American children. His research was to determine if children are choosing outside mentorship based on racial biases experienced in school, to make up for the lack of social capital received. Jeremy’s primary research interest include Race, Education, and Inequality.
