Flatproofing

TyrFil™ is a polyurethane liquid that is pumped into pneumatic tires to replace air with a resilient, synthetic elastomer core that eliminates dangerous and costly tire flats on off-the-road (OTR) equipment. Even in the most hazardous environments, tires filled with TyrFil™ will never go flat. Despite cuts and punctures, filled tires will keep performing - increasing productivity and eliminating costly downtime for field operators.

The greatest advantage of TyrFil™ over other No Flat options, including solid aperture tires, is the smoother ride as a result of a substantially lower G-force transmission. Higher G-force transmission can cause operator injury and premature wear and tear on equipment components.

Flatproofing Solutions for ALL TYPES of OTR Conditions!

Durometer is used to describe a material’s rating on the hardness scale. Higher numbers on the durometer scale indicate a greater resistance to indentation, and thus harder materials. Lower numbers indicate less resistance and softer materials.

low-durometer Created with Sketch.
Low Durometer

TyrFil™ Flex
With a durometer of 10, this formula has the lowest durometer for MAXIMUM deflection and air-like ride.

med-durometer Created with Sketch.
Medium Durometer

TyrFil™ Pro
With a durometer of 30, this formula is a general purpose material for use in 90% of tire fill applications.

TyrFil™ Ultra
With a durometer of 30, this product has the greatest heat dissipation qualities. Ideal for severe applications such as underground mining where heat and load are extreme.

high-durometer Created with Sketch.
High Durometer

TyrFil™ HeviDuty
With a durometer of 55, this formula provides added durability in high load applications with minimal tire deflection.

How it Works Example Tire

HOW IT WORKS

TyrFil liquid polyurethane is pumped into the tire through the valve stem, replacing all of the air. Then the tire is pressurized to its operating pressure by using the urethane. Within 24 to 48 hours, the mixture cures to a synthetic elastomer core that will never go flat!

COMMON APPLICATIONS

TyrFil™ Flatproofing is the optimal solution for hundreds of applications in industries including construction, mining, material handling, equipment rental, ground support equipment, and agriculture. Unlike solid or aperture tires, TyrFil offers a choice when it comes to pressure, durometer and tire tread. In other words, you are able to use the exact tire originally specified by the manufacturer. Also, this allows the operator to customize performance per application or environment.

DON'T ENDURE ANOTHER ROUGH RIDE!

Solid Shock refers to the harsh impact of G-force vibration transmission to heavy industrial vehicle operators and their equipment from solid aperture tires. Not only is Solid Shock a major source of wear and tear on machines, but it's also a leading cause of operator injury.

Research shows that the Solid Shock experienced by the operator can be upwards of 400 times or more per day which is wreaking havoc on the 3-axis of the body. As a part of any Solid Shock prevention program, tire choice is paramount to decreasing exposure to G-force transmission and the resulting adverse health risks. The testing proves it: pneumatic tires processed with TyrFil™ Flatproofing outperform solid aperture tires.

PROCESSING EQUIPMENT

Carlisle TyrFil offers proven pumping equipment technology - over 100MM pounds pumped annually. In addition to virgin tire fill processing equipment, Carlisle offers innovative Recycling Equipment. The Carlisle Recycling Equipment significantly reduces the environmental impact of traditional Tire Flatproofing.
