Guilford Residents Celebrate the Broad Brook Community Center Renovations

Wilmington, VT— On March 27th, 1-4pm at the Old School Community Center in Wilmington, VT, SVEP 2.0 will host a small conference on Local Project Stewardship. The Southern Vermont Economy Project 2.0 provides webinars, small conferences, mini-summits, technical assistance and training to help advance local economic and community development projects that are critical to creating prosperity in rural Southern Vermont. The March 27th event is open to everyone who works on local projects, from volunteers to town officials. It is the first in a series of SVEP 2.0 small conferences devoted to different elements of project development, from idea to implementation. Upcoming workshops will include project management training and financial training.

SVEP began in 2016 when the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation was awarded $230,000 through the USDA Rural Community Development Initiative. SVEP focused on building capacity around economic literacy in our region. A complete overview of 2016-2019 programming is available on the BDCC web site. Thanks to a new award from USDA RCDI in 2019, SVEP 2.0 continues the successful work to help communities and non-profits increase their capacity.
