Fall Back Skyward (Fall Back Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
Nine years ago, I watched her as she walked down the aisle and into the arms of a man who wasn't me. My brother. I left my home and never looked back. Now, I'm staring at seven letters, each envelope stamped with one word in bold, red ink: URGENT. I have no choice but to go back home. Seeing her will be the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. But in order to reconcile with my past, I have to face my present. Even if the thought of seeing her, knowing that she is out of my reach, kills me.
I have no idea what awaits me, but I can only hope that the demons of my past will finally be buried and put to rest.

"Fall Back Skyward" by Autumn Grey
From the moment I saw the cover of this book, about 4 weeks ago, my soul was consumed by the thought of it. I was in the middle of reading another series, but my mind just kept coming back to the idea of this book with the absolutely stunning cover. I had no idea what it was that was drawing me to it, or why my soul seemed obsessed with it. Now..... I know.
I am completely and utterly ashamed to say that I had not heard of Autumn Grey before this book. However, now! Everyone who will listen to me will know about Autumn Grey.
The first two pages had me locked in. That's all it took! Two pages! And I knew I was about to read something very special.
Eleanor Blake and Cole Holloway were destined to spend their lives together. Their hearts and souls were connected before they even knew each other. If you didn't believe in fate and destiny before reading this book - you will after you read it.
The girl with the terrible self confidence, the physical scars she wears and the abusive father she hates; is truly loved by the boy with the stormy eyes who lives next door. He saves her emotionally and mentally. She saves him physically and literally.
The story is written in "Past and Present". It is written so beautifully that my mind didn't want to leave the "past" but was desperate to see the "future".
As I kept seeing the percentage progress, on my Kindle, of where I was at in the book; my heart kept getting heavier and heavier. I didn't want it to end.
"Fall Back Skyward" has left such an imprint on my heart and will be forever lodged there, now, as one of my favorite books of all time. I am so incredibly excited to read the next journey in this story and to follow the amazing career that is sure to follow Autumn Grey ❣

Still a good read.
I love his stormy eyes and his character in this book. Cole is deaf but he’s unique in a way Nor connects with him and it’s why I feel like throughout this story I needed to understand him from chapter 1 and all I have to say is I was not disappointed. This book brings feels of angst of emotional turmoil (please read the triggers) and so much hope as I cried for Nor and Cole and Josh.
My first Autumn Grey book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This book covers every emotion from the excitement and craziness of first love, heartbreak when Nor’s bitter, jealous and psychotic father tears them apart to the misconceptions, heartbreak and supposed betrayals.
It’s about true love and finding your way home. The chemistry between Cole and Nor is electric.
Cole is one hot alpha.
P.S I loved that Sirius got to have his say!
I would definitely recommend this book.
The story starts in the present and it runs through the story of how things are now. It ripped me apart in the first chapters and left me saying out loud …Why…Why. Then it takes you back to the past and that's where it begins.....
Nor breaks my heart from the beginning, she is a soulfully unhappy girl worried continuously about her spaced out mum and her two younger sisters and how to keep them safe from her vile, evil father . That is until she moves next door to the Holloway family and suddenly there seems to be a light in her sad life, when she catches the eye of the handsome Cole.
Cole is just a happy go lucky teenager, looking forward to his college years when the girl next door rocks his world and knocks him for six but he knows she comes with a lot of baggage. That doesn't deter him though; it just makes him the strong one in the relationship. They fall in love against the odds and dark secrets from both their families, but the past come back to haunt them. It's a no win situation when it comes to Nor’s father. He wants Cole out of all their lives and he makes things work to his ends so he is removed.
It is such a turbulent up and down tale of can love conquer all and I sobbed on many occasions for them both. I don't want to give too much of the story away because I want you to experience how talented and beautiful this Author is; how wonderful her words flow and tell this love story. I've read her work before but this has to be her best to date a must, must, must read! Amazeballs

Now, for the story...
This is going to be an auto-buy author, I can feel it. I could feel it halfway through the story. Between the characters, the storyline, and the awesome writing... there was no doubt in my mind.
I'll admit I was skeptical when I first started reading. I wasn't sure I was going to like the reason for Nor marrying Cole's brother, honestly I thought it'd be unrealistic. But I ended up being very impressed and I really enjoyed how the entire situation was handled. It was heartbreaking to see so many lives torn apart, but once you read it, you'll be able to see the "silver lining" in all the sorrow. And seeing Nor and Cole get a second chance, almost makes it all worth it.
Nor and Cole are soulmates. Everything they do, they do for one another, and despite all the pain and the obstacles they are forced to go through, they stand by each other and come out stronger because of it.
"You are Nor. He is Cole. It’s a given."
I will say this, there is a "misunderstanding" of sorts... but I honestly feel that it works in this instance. The main thing that would bother people was the fact that Cole ignored letters from Nor and his family for nine years (opening just one would have cleared things up)... I just wanted to throw out this warning because I know some are bothered by this trope. But unless you truly hate it, like want-to-gouge-your-eyes-out hate it, I'd still recommend giving it a chance, because this story is really incredible and the misunderstanding makes sense (to me, at least).
We get a nice back-and-forth glimpse between the past and the present, and I love how it was set-up because it keeps you extremely engaged and we really get the full story. My problem with most second-chance romances is that sometimes we don't get the beginning of the story, and I often feel like I'm missing some of the most important parts.
But here, we get to see them meet and fall in love. And it was extremely sweet to read. They're both damaged, and there are many things they must overcome, but it was just so easy to root for them. And you never doubt the connection they share.
Their love and devotion shines through and it was so hard to read because you knew that they were going to be torn apart. But it was also more than obvious that they'd find a way to be together in the end.
Okay, now I feel like I'm just rambling and talking in circles, but the point is READ IT! Autumn Grey has created a fabulous world here, and I can't wait for the other characters' stories!

Normally with a book it takes me a few chapters to fall in love with the characters but not with this. Cole and Nor fell in love as kids, when Nor and her family move next door to Cole. We are first introduced to Cole working as an Architect in New York, having shut his family and Nor out of his life, for 9 years. He begins to open letters that have been sent to him over the years, finally finding out what has been going on since he left he is forced to return to the family and woman he loved who broke his heart.
From the start, I fell in love with Cole his obvious hurt and anger towards Nor tells us just how much he loved her and was truly broken by the events that split them up(we find out early on just what tore them apart) As Cole reads Nor's letters I felt like I knew her before we got a proper introduction which doesn't happen to me often in books.
As the book is separated between past and present we learn how Cole and Nor met, how they fell in love and despite the hard life and demons in Nor's life this romance was a love Romeo and Juliet would be proud of, as I was reading and falling in love with them both, I had to keep asking myself, something really bad must of happened to these two to break them up and nothing could of prepared me for what that was, I don't think I've ever gotten that angry while reading a book.
This books deals with very tough and sensitive issues which Autumn wrote beautifully and handled with such delicacy, love and grace. It has taken me half my day to try and write a review worthy of this book, I don't think any amount of praise would be enough to give it the justice this book deserves, All I will say is that it is definitely a must read and it's a book that will stay with me forever. I have had 2 authors that I don't need to read what their books are about, i just read, I can say that I now have 3 authors. Thank You Autumn not only have you given me a book that will be with me forever you have also made me realise that no matter what demons we have we are all worthy of being loved.

The moment Eleanor (Nor) Blake moves to Florida with her parents and two sisters, she is swept off her feet by her brooding and handsome neighbour Cole Holloway. The red-haired and green-eyed beauty can't stop thinking about the dark haired boy with the stormy-grey eyes. But she is not the only one affected. Cole is slowly falling in love with her too. Unfortunatelly their young love is soon threatend by the biggest villain of all - her father. In order to protect the boy who owns her heart, Nor makes the ultimate sacrifice, knowing that it will keep Cole safe but will forever tear them apart in a brutal and heartbreaking way.
Nine years have passed. Cole has returned to Florida on an urgent matter, despite his vow to never come back again. Meeting Nor is inevitable because a young love is not the only thing that is connecting them to each other. Can Cole forgive Nor for breaking his heart after so much time? Is destiny giving them a second chance?
I can only congratulate Autumn on writing such a breathtaking story that made me feel so much. I've cried, swooned and suffered with the hero and the heroine. Cole was such an intense young man who loved with all his heart and was very protective of the people he held dear to his heart. I admire how he pursued his dreams and didn't let his deafness define him. Nor was a true fighter who had a very tough childhood that left marks not only on her heart but on her skin too! I admired her fierceness and the dignity with which she was handling everything life trew her way.
But Cole and Nor were not the only loveable characters here. I adored their loyal and funny best friends Simon and Megs who made me laugh so much! What I trully appreciated was the author's talent of switching between past and present as well as the double POV that gave us a great insight into the whole story. Everything was slowly putted together like a puzzle.
The beautiful epilogue left a huge smile on my face and left me crave for more because I didn't want to say good bye to Cole and Nor! I loved Fall Back Skyward beyond words and recommend it from the bottom of my heart. 5 stars!
