Fall Back Skyward

I really liked this book though I felt like some of the events could be handled differently. Still, this is an emotional and beautiful second chance love story with a very heavy subject matter.

(Present time) - We're first introduced to Cole whose rifling through his daily mail when he comes across many marked URGENT concerning his brother Josh, upon reading them Cole finds himself making a return journey to his hometown before its too late, he's been gone for nine long years.
NINE YEARS LATER
Cole is returning home, back to the one place he never wanted to return to. Back to where it all started. Back to where the girl who broke his heart is now married to his own brother Josh. Back to the ones he left behind

I one clicked this on release day for two reasons, the synopsis drew me in but the cover hooked me (it's sooooo pretty) then I looked at the authors name and that cinched the deal!!
I cray cray love books like this, childhood friends, the angst, the heartbreak, the feels that these kind of books bring out of me, this book is no different.
PART TWO
(Sends us to the past) This part we read how Nor and Cole became neighbors living across the road from each other.

There is no way my review can do justice to this book, the feels, I've not loved a book as much as this one for sooooo long.

This part of the story makes for hard reading, you can feel that undeniable love these two have for each other, but you know from (Part One) in this book that things didn't end well for these two.

I loved everything about this book, once started I was invested in finishing it, riding that emotional roller-coaster right up till the end.
I loved the angst, the emotional pull on all my senses, the heart break, the love, the hate, the loss, everything this author wanted me to feel I felt.

I grieved

Before I say anything, I need to address the cover... it is STUNNING. Seriously, one of the most gorgeous covers I've ever seen (*drools*)
Now, for the story...
This is going to be an auto-buy author, I can feel it. I could feel it halfway through the story. Between the characters, the storyline, and the awesome writing... there was no doubt in my mind.
I'll admit I was skeptical when I first started reading. I wasn't sure I was going to like the reason for Nor marrying Cole's brother, honestly I thought it'd be unrealistic. But I ended up being very impressed and I really enjoyed how the entire situation was handled. It was heartbreaking to see so many lives torn apart, but once you read it, you'll be able to see the "silver lining" in all the sorrow. And seeing Nor and Cole get a second chance, almost makes it all worth it.
Nor and Cole are soulmates. Everything they do, they do for one another, and despite all the pain and the obstacles they are forced to go through, they stand by each other and come out stronger because of it.
I will say this, there is a "misunderstanding"... but I honestly felt that it worked in this instance. The main thing that would bother people was the fact that Cole ignored letters from Nor and his family for nine years (opening just one would have cleared things up)... I just wanted to throw out this warning because I know some are bothered by this trope. So if you truly hate it, like want-to-gouge-your-eyes-out hate it, I'd give it some serious thought before you pick it up lol. Because while I loved this and thought the story was incredible, I know misunderstandings bother some readers. *Also there is angst and it's a little OTT, so if you are interested, just make sure you're in the mood for some angst so you can fully enjoy it ;)
We get a nice back-and-forth glimpse between the past and the present, and I love how it was set-up because it keeps you extremely engaged and we really get the full story. My problem with most second-chance romances is that sometimes we don't get the beginning of the story, and I often feel like I'm missing some of the most important parts.
But here, we get to see them meet and fall in love. And it was extremely sweet to read. They're both damaged, and there are many things they must overcome, but it was just so easy to root for them. And you never doubt the connection they share.
Their love and devotion shines through and it was so hard to read because you knew that they were going to be torn apart. But it was also more than obvious that they'd find a way to be together in the end.
Okay, now I feel like I'm just rambling and talking in circles, but the point is READ IT (as long as you're okay with misunderstandings)! Autumn Grey has created a fabulous world here, and I can't wait for the other characters' stories!

One of the reason I read this book was because of the cover I just find it gorgeous.

This was such a beautiful second chance story. This is the story about Nor and Cole and what they had to overcome to get their happy ending, the journey was full of heartbreak, healing and forgiveness.
I wasn't sure I was going to like Nor but after learning more about her, I couldn't not like her. She was a strong heroine despite battling all her demons.
"Every scar on my skin has a story to tell. Every scar makes me who I am today. A survivor."
Cole Holloway, wow he was such great character, ladies prepare to swoon! He was quiet and reserved but he also had an alpha side in him.
"I'm in love with you and all your little things that make up who you are. Your chaotic mind, your insecurities, your big heart. You think you're not perfect but you are perfection to me."
This is a great second chance story you don't want to miss!

August 25, 2020According to some trustworthy reviews, the entire book is built on one single misunderstanding and stubborn miscommunication. And you know what? Nope. I have read so many books that infuriated me simply because the author had the audacity to think that grown-ass main characters not being able to communicate properly and just being plain ignorant about stuff by choice is an actual tool to make the suspense peak. It isn't. It's only peaking my blood pressure. So, nope. Not gonna read that.

I had the privilege of beta reading this book. I've never read this author before but she reached out to me because I had a little knowledge of a theme in the book. Let me tell you this book was life changing. The angst! The feels! The tears!! I greedily read it chapter by chapter while begging for more.
I can't say enough about the feelings this book brought out of me.

This book is a must read for lovers of second chance romances...for that matter; even if you don't love that particular type of storyline, I suggest giving this book a go. I loved it. I have been in a bit of a book slump for some time. After reading "Fall Back Skyward," I remembered why it is I love to read.
The characters in this story are many...but of course there are the main ones...In the beginning we are giving the present time where a deaf man Cole is very bitter from dealing with the fact that his brother; Josh, and the love of this younger years; Nor are married. It has been nine years of bitterness eating away inside of Cole, until he realizes he needs to open all of the unopened letters he has chosen to ignore. What he reads in the letters will change his life forever. Cole decides he needs to get home immediately to find out what really happened all those years ago when he felt he was betrayed, by his woman and his brother.
As readers, once we find out what is going on in the present day; we then are treated to the story of teens, Nor and Cole and how they fell in love. I've got to tell you...it is such a great one. I loved these two together. They are both imperfect and somewhat damaged souls. Cole is deaf, and Nor has some major demons. All of the scars she carries on the outside of her body, has caused her to be judged most of her life...but Cole always is able to over look them. I just loved the fact that these two had major issues; but together they found acceptance and unconditional love. Unfortunately, Nor's father is an a-hole of epic proportions, and what he does to this couple....is unforgivable.
I so badly want to blab the whole story, but I do work hard at not spoiling a book! All I can really say is that this is a must read. It has everything a great story has, and you will laugh, cry, and get angry. This book will make you feel from beginning to end, and the sex scenes are HOT!!! (I always have to include that...LOL) I am really hoping that Autumn Grey will choose to keep this series going. There are a ton of secondary characters that I want to see a HEA for!!!

I love a second chance romance and when I read the blurb for Autumn Grey's Fall Back Skyward, I knew I wanted to read this book. Not only was this a second chance romance, but it was a story about healing and forgiveness.
The book starts out in the present when Cole receives seven letters all stamped "URGENT" from his family. Nine years ago when the love of his life married his brother, he ran away to New York and never looked back. He cut all ties with his family because it was too hurtful. Now, after reading one of the letters, he finds out that his brother is gravely ill and he has to go back home. He has to face all of the demons that he ran from all of those years ago, but he also realizes how much he's missed out on.
"Nor and Cole. Once named the couple that would go down in history as unbreakable. But we broke up."
The book then shifts to the past to give us the history of Cole and Nor. Eleanor "Nor" and her family moved next door to Cole when they were teenagers. Josh and Cole were both smitten with Nor, but she only had eyes for Cole. They were connected to one another the minute they laid eyes on each other.
Cole was sick with bacterial meningitis when he was five and as a result, lost his hearing. Nor has a lot of scars on her body because she is a cutter. She's grown up with a verbally abusive father. Her mother is just a shell of a woman and nor finds herself being the caretaker for her younger sisters a lot.
"Everyone has scars, weather they're on the surface of our bodies or on the inside hidden in our souls. We've just gotten good at hiding them..."
Nor's father hates Cole and forbids her to see him. Not heeding his warning, they continue to sneak around and see one another, falling deeper and deeper in love. Later, something happens that leaves Cole locked away in jail for two years. Soon, Nor is forced to make a decision that she hopes Cole can forgive her for later, but it only leads to heartbreak.
"Sometimes your first love comes back to you and you get a second chance."
Coming back to the present, the reunion between Cole and Nor was bittersweet. Not really knowing if Cole read any of the letters she sent, Nor wasn't sure she would ever see him again. Now he's here and there are a million things to say that we're left unsaid. It's obvious though that there is still a spark between them, even after all of these years. Nor tells Cole the truth about everything that happened and why she did what she did. Can he find it in his heart to forgive her? Can he forgive his brother?
This was a great second chance story that had a few twists and turns. I loved that it was told in dual POV. I loved being in both of their heads. I don't always love when the stories go back in time, but it was needed here. It gives you a chance to see Cole and Nor's love grow from the start. Josh was an awesome brother. He stepped up in a way that I don't know if a lot of brothers would. I hated Nor's father. At the end, I was still left with some questions, but I hope that Grey continues on and gives us stories for the sisters, thus answering my questions later.

Fall Back Skyward is a beautiful and emotional story and I truly enjoyed it. Cole and Nor had such a sweet, painful and complicated second chance story and they definitely had a lot to overcome in order to find each other again.
I loved the secondary characters as well, although I wish we could see more of Megs & Simon. They seemed like really cool characters and I don't know if they'll get their own story, but I think we could see a little bit more of them.

I have to admit that even though I loved Cole, there were a few moments that I didn't approve of his behavior. But not every character is molded in the way we want to see them, so I have to respect his decisions and actions and just enjoy the ride, which I did.
I can't wait to read Breaking Gravity and meet Nate even though I was hoping for Nick's getting finally his childhood crush, but I'm really curious to discover the mystery about professor Nate ;)

I so wanted to love this one!
But sadly the magic did not happen and I don't know why.
The writing is not bad, the characters are easy to relate to, the plot is good .... it must be a case of "it's not you, it's me".

I loved the part about their past but could not understand his reaction nor why he left for so many years.
I would have loved to read more about her time with Josh. Not only through her eyes.

I'm a fan of Autumn Grey since reading the Havoc series. I was eagerly awaiting to read more of her work. The moment she posted the blurb to Fall Back Skyward I was intrigued. It sounded exactly like the kind of stories I love to devour. I even had a theory how the story is going to unfold. Trust me when I tell you that the author delivered what I was hoping for and even more. Cole and Nor's story was not an easy one - it was full of hardships and heartbreak but also love and hope. Fall Back Skyward is a beautiful, touching and inspirational book about two soul mates who meet at a very young age, later go their separate ways and whose paths of life cross again after 9 agonizing years.
Eleanor Blake moves to Florida with her parents and two younger sisters - Elon and Elise. The neighbourhood is very nice and welcoming. There is one very special person that catches her interest from day one - the sweet, shy and handsome boy living next to her - Cole Holloway. Every time she looks into his captivating grey eyes she feels butterflies in her stomach. There is something about Cole that feels familiar to her. His quiet and thoughtful demeanor speaks to Nor on so many levels. It doesn't bother her that Cole is deaf. On the contrary, she wants to learn ASL in order to be able to communicate with him. She wants to get to know him. Cole is head over heels for Eleanor from the first time he lays his eyes on this green-eyed and red-haired beauty. She may be a little thing but she is very fierce. He is intrigued by the faint scars he sees on her wrists. Cole wants to find out what happend to her and the reason behind the constant sadness in her eyes. He wants to make her smile again and to open up to him. Their friendship will soon blossom into an extraordinary love that will change their lives forever. It will start to finally heal the wounds they are carrying deep down inside themselves. But like in every story there is a mean villain who is keen on destroying the special bond they have - Nor's father, Stephen. He will leave no stone unturned to tear them apart. But in the end it is going to be Nor who will break Cole's heart into million pieces by marrying his older brother Josh. You may now ask yourself why she did that and if they will ever get a second chance at their love? Well, in order to get the answers you have to read this amazing 5 stars book!
I worship the ground Cole walks on. He has a heart of gold. This young man was so understanding and supportive of Nor. The way he loved her was all-consuming. Eleanor was a strong young woman who went through many things. She would do anything to protect the people she loves and cares about. I admired her for that. This couple will make your heart race and you will cheer for them from page one! There are also secondary characters you will fall hard for like Cole's best friend Simon and Nor's sisters and friend Megs.
If you are a fan of angsty and emotional books than this is the right story for you! Read it, enjoy it and recommend it to others. I certainly will! Thank you Autumn Grey for another great read. I can't wait for the next book in the Fall Back series!

I don't know this just didn't work for me. It was just too over the top and the whole reason for their separation was ridiculous. The heroines father and his reason behind doing what he did was so stupid I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Especially with their having been no resolution over what he did it just didn't work for me.
I also found the heroine annoying and the hero was a douche when they saw each other again. Even after he finds out the truth he was so annoying. There's nothing to be confused about anymore you idiot. So what's with the pushing away? Meh it wasn't awful it just felt very amateurish to me.

Fall Back Skyward was everything I was hoping for and so much more! Autumn Grey delivered a beautiful and touching story about first love, sacrifices and second chances that was unputdownable from page one. I can say without any doubt that this book is her best work yet! I recommend everyone to take a chance on it - you won't regret it!
The moment Eleanor (Nor) Blake moves to Florida with her parents and two sisters, she is swept off her feet by her brooding and handsome neighbour Cole Holloway. The red-haired and green-eyed beauty can't stop thinking about the dark haired boy with the stormy-grey eyes. But she is not the only one affected. Cole is slowly falling in love with her too. Unfortunatelly their young love is soon threatend by the biggest villain of all - her father. In order to protect the boy who owns her heart, Nor makes the ultimate sacrifice, knowing that it will keep Cole safe but will forever tear them apart in a brutal and heartbreaking way.
Nine years have passed. Cole has returned to Florida on an urgent matter, despite his vow to never come back again. Meeting Nor is inevitable because a young love is not the only thing that is connecting them to each other. Can Cole forgive Nor for breaking his heart after so much time? Is destiny giving them a second chance?
I can only congratulate Autumn on writing such a breathtaking story that made me feel so much. I've cried, swooned and suffered with the hero and the heroine. Cole was such an intense young man who loved with all his heart and was very protective of the people he held dear to his heart. I admire how he pursued his dreams and didn't let his deafness define him. Nor was a true fighter who had a very tough childhood that left marks not only on her heart but on her skin too! I admired her fierceness and the dignity with which she was handling everything life trew her way.
But Cole and Nor were not the only loveable characters here. I adored their loyal and funny best friends Simon and Megs who made me laugh so much! What I trully appreciated was the author's talent of switching between past and present as well as the double POV that gave us a great insight into the whole story. Everything was slowly putted together like a puzzle.
The beautiful epilogue left a huge smile on my face and left me crave for more because I didn't want to say good bye to Cole and Nor! I loved Fall Back Skyward beyond words and recommend it from the bottom of my heart. 5 stars!

Fall Back Skyward was all about emotions and amazing characters. I was feeling so much throughout this story and my heart broke and ached for Cole, Nor and Josh. These three people's lives were forever changed by a horrible and bitter man. I don't recall that I have ever hated a character as much as Nor's father. Just the mere mention of him and I saw red. His actions were despicable and pathetic.
My love and respect for Nor kept growing as she got older. She was beyond strong despite battling her demons but she never gave up. Along with Cole and Josh she couldn't have chosen two better men to be a part of her life. These brothers were beautiful with a good heart. Simple as that! Cole was perfection in every way. His love and support for Nor was heartbreakingly beautiful and real. His brother Josh was loyal to the bone when it came to his family and his choices were commendable and honest.
Cole and Nor's slow building romance was written beautifully and at the right pace. Nothing felt forced and their connection was uniquely intense. I reveled in their beautiful moments they had together cause they felt magical.
There were so many fabulous characters in Fall Back Skyward. Nor's and Cole's best friends proved to be more than just their friends. They were family and I enjoyed their interaction with Cole and Nor.

This is first and foremost one beautiful love story.
When I first saw this book on Goodreads, the synopsis alone drew me in, and I just new that I had to read it. Then I saw the cover. Isn't it pretty?
I am one of those people who often choose their next read based on the beautiful covers. I just can't help myself.
This is my first Autumn Grey book and I absolutely loved the characters and the story.
I can openly say that this is one of the best second chance romances I have ever read.
Cole and Nor are childhood sweethearts. Both very much damaged (he is deaf after battling spinal meningitis and she is a cutter). They have a strong bond they made as teenagers, and I can easily say that they are soulmates in every sense of the word.
Cole is Nor's protector, one person she can always rely on and her escape from troubled family environment.
After the impact of different unfortunate circumstances beyond their control, they end up separated for nine years. After receiving a stack of envelopes with URGENT stamping, Cole finally has to return home... to his parents and to her. Girl who still inhabits his mind.
Book was well written and the flow was perfect. I loved the switch from present to past.
First part is placed in present, but then after few chapters we finally go back and start getting some of the answers.
The ending was everything I hoped it would be and the pacing of the story line kept me interested.
If you like angsty emotional reads, don't pass on this one.

A second chance romance that test the power of time. A heart-breaking story that will show you that no matter what will happen, when you share a love so powerful, it can conquers it all.
Eleonor and Cole, a pair of soulmates that went through a painful path of lost. A couple that surpass the obstacles throw out to them for just one person, Stephen, a character I hope is rotting in hell right now.
Regardless of the pain, their journey was beautiful. I fell in love with the story and its characters since the very beginning. There is one character that blown me away, he is my always and forever, and if I had the power to change the course of the story I would change it, just for him.
I could say more about the book, but I’m not good at this “reviewing thing” and I believe that I would not do the justice it deserves, so I reccomend you to read it and experience it by yourself.

I'm a huge fan of Autumn Grey so when I saw she had a new release, I was on it! I went into the story blind because I prefer it that way and boy did it snatch me right out of my seat and take me for an emotional journey.
Ms. Grey is a star at writing emotions. From page one, she had hold of my heart. And from there on, I was dragged through sadness and depression, happy times and steam, and even some suspense. My anxiety was through the roof as I read this story. Cole and Nor are soulmates and their story is told over a decade.
"This girl is trouble. She is chaos. She is perfect."
They have good times and some utterly rock bottom times. But it was neat to read how they overcame such trying obstacles...all in the name of love.
"You've crawled under my skin so deep, I have to kiss you to seal you in. Never leave."
I'd compare Ms. Grey's writing to the likes of Colleen Hoover. Powerful and emotional...an absolute riveting tale of love, heartbreak, and forgiveness!
"It's simple. I see the beauty in her broken soul. I see a fighter who wears her battle scars with pride. I see my soul mate."

I was in the mood for an angsty read, and Falling Back Skyward certainly fit the bill. I had no idea where this was going to go, but will say there is NO cheating or triangle. BUT there is miscommunication, a trope I am usually not a fan of but in this case it really worked, as did the flashbacks. Again, something I am not a fan of but totally worked in this book.
Cole and Nor were torn apart by her despicable father, and Cole ends up doing 2 years in prison for a crime that was never committed. Good god, the father was beyond revolting! The father manipulated things once again so upon Cole’s release from prison he walks in to Nor and Josh (his brother) getting married. Yeah, I totally got why he went off on one, but I was a bit disappointed that his family didn’t try harder to get through to him for all those years. It took tragic news for him to get his head out of his arse and wake up.
The book is a long one, and a lot happens and whilst I loved it I would have preferred less plot twists and more focus on their now. This would have made it a 5+ star read.

This book is about soul mates who get a second chance at love. If you are meant to be together you will find your way back to each other. This book was a perfect example of that. When I read the blurb I had no idea what to expect. Why would "she" marry his brother??
"I've wanted to kiss you since I saw you glare at me from your front lawn. You've crawled under my skin so deep, I have to kiss you to seal you in. Never leave."
We start with Part One which is in present time. We see what the main character Cole is up to in his life. After reading the letters that said URGENT he goes and reads the letters that were sent to him years ago. I was angry at Cole for not reading those letters before. 9 years is a very long time, and it was obvious Cole was still holding a grudge and anger deep inside him. In all those years he hadn't moved on. He was still living in the past. It did hurt my heart to see him hurting like that. The reunion between Cole, his family and his first and only love Nor was heartbreaking.
"I'm in love with you and all your little things that make up who you are. Your chaotic mind, your insecurities, your big heart. You think you're not perfect but you are perfection to me."
We then get to Part Two where we go back in time and see how Cole and Nor first met and how their relationship developed. Normally I don't like flashbacks but it was done really well in this book and I was curious to know what happened between them. I also loved that it didn't switch between past and present every couple of chapters, and that it was divided in big parts. The past was a very important piece in this book and I don't think I would've enjoyed this book as much if we didn't get to see the history between them. Cole and Nor's reunion was heartbreaking and explosive. There were so many things that needed to be said. So many feelings that were bottled up and ready to explode the moment they met.
"Everyone has scars, whether they're on the surface of our bodies or on the inside, hidden in their souls. We've just gotten good at hiding them."
Another part why I enjoyed this book so much was the secondary characters: Cole's friends Simon, Tate and his brothers Nick and Josh. Also Nor's friend Megs and sisters Elon and Elise. There were a couple of them attracted to each other and I HOPE they will get their own book! I NEED them to have their HEA! I also loved that the book had dual POV, it was essential to know what was going on in Nor and Cole's minds. Plus we get one chapter told from a very special character. ;) Trust me you'll be surprised! I did wish that a couple of more chapters were in present time because I wanted more. The last chapter ended abruptly so I was really happy the epilogue was extra long.

Sometimes there just truly aren't words. I will write this review, I will put my jumble of thoughts and emotions down on this page. But I have to start with this disclaimer, that there truly are no combination of words that can describe my love for this book.
I read books because I love the escape, the experience, and the journey, to go new places, and to fall head over heels in LOVE day after day. Autumn Grey fulfilled all of those wishes and so much more. Fall Back Skyward consumed me, took me on this heartbreaking, and healing, beautiful journey, and I didn't touch down in reality until my kindle read 100% complete. And then I clicked, and clicked, and clicked just to be sure...
C O L E HOLLOWAY... Sigh. I fell SO hard and SO fast for this boy. He's the perfect mixture of badass, sexy, alpha, but also shy and reserved. Clearly he saved his heart for me...oops I mean Nor.
E L E A N O R BLAKE, the beautiful, mysterious red haired girl across the street...
Their connection is instant, and strong and undeniable. Cole is completely FASCINATED with her, and Nor is totally in AWE of him. Its the sweetest thing. Their love blossoms under the stars, as the spend nights stargazing on Nor's roof, where they talk the night away night after night, or sometimes just fall deeper into each other in the midst of the silence.
"I couldn't love you any quieter or harder even if I wanted to."
Ahhhhh... I'm worried I'll say too much. Everyone in the whole wide world just needs to read this book ASAP. I went into it blind not knowing what to expect and it just got better and better, the further into the book I got, the harder I fell. And you will too! Just do yourself a favor and read this book.

And the Silver Lining this story...theres hope for more trips to this wonderful world! Nor has two sisters, and a best friend, and Cole has two brothers and two best friends. These characters are all so awesome and fun and, we just got these small intimate glimpses into their stories and Autumn leaves you wanting to know so much about each of them. I can't wait to see what Autumn has in store for us next!

I was excited to read this book once it was released because almost all the reviews that I've read were positives. Imagine my disappointed when I didn't get to enjoy this book as much as I thought I would.
The story started out to be great, however, I find the "past" part a bit dragging. Probably because I was really eager to know what happened that resulted to where they were at the present. Instead, it focused mostly on how they get to know each other and how their love blossomed after. I get that it was needed but I just find it too long.
As I read on, I felt no connection to the characters. Needless to say, I don't care what happened to them in the end. In my opinion, this book was cheese puffs extreme . As. In. Especially after reading the word TEARS more than a hundred freaking times! Yep, you got that right, more than a hundred. I lost count after that.
Also, I cannot help but noticed that everyone doesn't exert enough effort to try to reach out for Cole. They all knew where he lives YET they never thought of going to his place to deliver very important message? Okay, given that he was angry for what happened, still... snail mail? Really? **eye roll** All the mails that they sent left no response, still they strongly believe that this one "urgent" message will suddenly come to his attention? What are the odds? They don't even think it might get straight to the bin? =/
I felt bored. I even fell asleep with less than 30 pages left, making me skim the ending the very next day just so I don't have to DNF this.
As you may noticed, I fell under the minority, so don't let my review stop you from reading this.

No matter how many times or ways she was pushed down by life, she rose above it and pressed forward, making the best of her life, in spite of its plot twists. There were so many unknown factors that came into play, meandering and shaping the paths of Nor, Cole, and all of those around them.
"Your body is like my guide. I know where to touch you or kiss young watching how you react to me and listening to what my hands tell me. I touch you the way I want to be touched."
The charged atmosphere created throughout each page was taut, thick with emotion, feeling, remembrance, regret, and hope. Sometimes it was the spoken word or gesture, other times, simply the spell-binding silence that held me, suspended in their spell. I laughed, cried, screamed, wiped a million tears from my eyes, swooned, and fell in love. There were parts of the story that gutted me, parts that made me feel refreshed and awakened, and parts that carried me away into bliss. An amazing escape!

My favourite book of 2016 so far! (And there have been a lot of books. Lol).
This book was so devastatingly beautiful. I loved every single word. It was perfect!
So incredibly well written and the time jumps from past and present were so well timed. It's sweet, super sexy, funny, and jam-packed full of feels!
This book, in my opinion, is unique. I have never read a book like it and I doubt I ever will again. I will never ever forget Cole and Nor.
I'm not going to go into what happens in the book and how much I adored every aspect because this book and this author deserves for you to go in blind, but I will urge you to go and read it for yourself.
If you're looking for a love story that will break your heart, but also fills you full of love, hope and happiness then this is definitely the book for you. Buy it now, I swear you won't regret it :)

there are a lot of things that are going on in this book but if I cared more about these characters, I would be fine with it..maybe if the past part is told first that connection would be there...I don't know is just a lot of miscommunication going on just for the sake of drama...

From the day I saw this cover I wanted the book, then I read the blurb and I was like I NEED this book... Then the day came when it landed on my kindle. Yep I squealed like a little girl.
I'm not going to give you the ins and outs of the story, I'm just going to go with how I felt while reading this book.
Part One:
I think I fell in LOVE with Cole Holloway from the first chapter, he just captured my heart straight away.. I mean I literally fell hard.. My emotions were up and down, I didn't know what too feel, I was scared&nervous my heart was racing 20miles per hour. All I was thinking was WHAT HAS HAPPENED FOR IT TO BE LIKE THIS?!?!?
Part Two:
Autumn takes you back, way back nine years back. And it was perfect, it was just what you needed to understand where the story was going, she gives you the growth of falling in love, she gives you the time to understand each character and their flaws, she brings out anger, passion, lust and so many other feelings in you. Cole & Nor's journey in these chapters demand you to sit and feel, they demand you to acknowledge everything they are going through, you feel like you're sitting right there experiencing each event that takes place. It was brilliant. Nor's life I can't even begin to describe it, all I know is I wanted to pluck her out of the book and just love her.. But at the same time she didn't need me or anyone else, Cole was enough. He will always be enough. We needed every line every word that was in those past chapters. And while all that was happening I fell that much harder for Cole Holloway.
Part Three:
All that was going through my mind was I can't wait to see an older version of Cole, I can't wait to experience the man that he has turned into... Give me..
And Boy when those moments came HOLY FUCK I WAS HAVING HEART PALPITATIONS. Loving Cole makes your heart flutter, Angry Cole makes your lady parts soar.. He is a animal a sexy animal. And I love him with every beat of my heart. Always and Forever.
How everything came together and unfolded was brilliant, it all just flowed so beautifully, nothing was rushed, everything was at the right pace, Its one of the most stunning, beautiful sexy reads I've read this year, it's right up there with my favourite books of all time, Nor and Cole's story is just an emotional powerful love story, a love that in the end conquers all.. Cole has taken my heart and soul.. I love him its as simple as that He makes me want to drown in everything that is Cole Holloway.. I'm not ready to let him go! He owns me heart body and soul!

Cole Halloway & Eleanor "Nor" Blake are two souls that is destined to be together until someone put a massive dent in their path.....
First I have to say I truly connected to Cole on a deeper personal level - this Author definitely nailed his character to the T..... Don't want to give away to story as I believe a reader should go in blind and enjoy this beautiful, amazing, heart breaking rollercoaster ride!!
