She's pregnant with another man's baby.
He's now the father to his little niece.
A sexy romance with all the feels!

Single Mom-To-Be Rule #1: watch out for those horny hormones.

Oops.

After a childhood of bouncing from one foster home to another and a series of failed relationships, I’ve taken matters into my own hands when it comes to starting a family.

Or rather, someone else’s hand. And a plastic cup.

I’d rather be a single mom than be let down again, and I’m definitely not looking for a baby daddy. That includes sexy workaholic game designer Wes Chiasson, thank you very much.

***

My software company has been my number one, two, and three priorities. But that all changes when I suddenly become the guardian of my three-year-old niece. Now my world has turned topsy-turvy with princesses and little-girl tea parties.

When Hannah Morrell needs a place to stay after the pipes in her apartment burst, I invite her to move in with my niece and me. Hannah is a pediatric nurse, and given my situation, who could ask for a better roommate?

Sounds easy. Right?

It is—until emotions get tossed into the mix. Because if there’s one thing history has taught Hannah, it’s that the people who’ve gained her love can’t be trusted.

And now I have to put my heart on the line to prove otherwise.

Here’s an excerpt from Decidedly by Chance (Chapter 1).

At the deep sound of Wes’s voice, my heart stumbled, and this time I did check over my shoulder. The stumbling heart was a new side effect I’d been experiencing whenever I’d seen him, but I didn’t know why.

While my heart’s reaction wasn’t unexpected, seeing Wes with a little girl hugging a floppy bunny was.

Heck, I hadn’t anticipated seeing him at all—especially not in this building.

His jeans and Henley top clung enticingly to his tall, athletic body. His short, light-brown hair beckoned for me to run my fingers through it. My lady bits released a dreamy sigh—and not just because I was dealing with pregnancy hormones.

Focus, Hannah.

Without meaning to, I let my gaze dart to the obstetrician’s office. It was clearly marked as that. Maybe he would think I was coming from the…

My gaze did another quick dart in the opposite direction to the…orthodontist’s office.

Great. Clearly, the building was trying to screw me over. All right, orthodontist’s office it was.

Wes looked in my direction, and his eyes widened. “Hannah, what are you doing here?” Non-surprisingly, he quickly surveyed the other two offices on the floor.

And just like that, my explanation vanished from my brain. All I was capable of doing was opening and closing my mouth like a pregnant fish out of water. “I’m…I’m…here to see a therapist.” Which was the third office located on this floor—the office that he had been coming from.

Face, meet palm.

But that was okay. I could work with that.

A confused frown crinkled on his brow. “You’re here to see a child therapist?”

“Yes…I…I have a date. With one…there.” I vaguely gestured in the direction he had come from. It was official. I had pregnancy brain.

That was a thing, right?

“You have a date with a therapist in that clinic?” He enunciated the words slowly as if I was an idiot. Which at that moment didn’t feel too far from the truth. “You mean like an appointment or a date-date?” His confusion had bailed, replaced by amusement if his voice was an indication.

“Well, not so much a date as an appointment.”

Nice save, Hannah.

The corners of his mouth turned up. He really did have a sexy mouth.

I meant a nice mouth.

Not a sexy mouth.

Just a regular old nice mouth.

“That’s good to know,” he said, “considering all the therapists in the clinic are females.”

“Right,” I said, “I knew that.”

“Is there any particular reason you’re seeing a pediatric psychologist?”

“Pediatric?” My gaze flicked to the sign by the office door. The one I hadn’t paid much attention to the first time. Oops.

Chuckling, he nodded. “Yeah, you know. A psychologist who specializes in kids. But as a pe-di-a-tric nurse, you probably already know that.”

“Hey, Wes,” Emma said from behind me, and coming to my rescue.

Maybe.

Possibly.

Okay, definitely not. Not unless she had suddenly developed the ability to read minds.

He smiled at her. “Travis mentioned your obstetrician’s office is in the same building as Everly’s play therapist. I didn’t realize you had an appointment there today.”

Emma no doubt saw what had to be a panicked expression on my face and unfortunately misread it. “Yes, I did. But Travis was unable to join me, and Hannah came to give me moral support instead.”

I inwardly cringed, knowing I would have to make it up to her, big-time. Especially if Wes mentioned seeing us here to Travis. There was no way Emma’s amazing husband would miss out on a prenatal appointment. Not unless his team was on the road.

And they weren’t.

I knew that. Emma knew that. And Wes knew that.

“You know, there’s probably a better way to help you forget it.” His voice came out low and gravelly, and my legs forgot their function for a rapid heartbeat. “You need to kiss someone else. Someone who’s a much better kisser.”
“Do you have any suggestions who might be qualified for that task?” My voice wasn’t much different than his, my breath coming in slightly faster now.
He lifted my chin with a crooked finger. “I might have someone in mind.”

Hannah’s not waiting around for Prince Charming to get started on the family she’s always wanted. If she’s learned anything, it’s not to count on anyone else to make her dreams come true. The marvels of modern science mean a future with her “little bean” is less than nine months away, but a busted pipe in her apartment building means Hannah finds herself pregnant and suddenly homeless.

Wes has had a crush on Hannah since they met through mutual friends, but she made it clear she’s not interested in a relationship. After losing his brother and sister-in-law in a car accident, Wes suddenly finds himself the sole guardian of his three year old niece, Everly, and dating of any kind gets put on the back burner.

Sure, a romantic relationship might be off the table, but who says you can’t help out a friend in need when their apartment floods? No one is more surprised than Hannah when Wes asks her to move in until she can find another apartment, but the plan makes sense. Right?!?

Let me start off by saying how much I loved Wes and Everly. They were so utterly sweet and heartbreaking together and I couldn’t help but fall in love with both of them. How could Hannah not know that fine piece of man that stepped up when his niece needed him the most was worth taking a chance on?

Speaking of Hannah holding onto her “no relationships” thing for waaay too long…what’s up with that? Seriously, I connected with Hannah as a character for the most part, but a lot of times it felt like her aversion to getting serious was the only real roadblock of the story. Wes and Everly wanted her in their lives from the very beginning and Wes did everything he could to let Hannah know that. I appreciate why her walls went up in the first place, but after a while it got old.

So why the 4+ star review? When it comes right down to it, I love Stina Lindenblat’s writing. I picked this up and was engrossed in the story from the beginning, despite my issues with Hannah. I’ve read other books by this author and have always enjoyed them, even when the story itself may not have moved me. Decidedly by Chance had the added bonus of major feels from all directions and that aspect kept me glued to my iPad as Wes and Hannah danced around their feelings for each other.

Decidedly by Chance is book number 5 of the series but it can be read as a standalone. I look forward to catching up with the rest of the characters and their stories in the future.

I am surprise that I can not finish this book. The blurp promising a good story. Rom com. When I start reading it, its just.... blah. I can not connect with any of the characters. The writing is also off for me. It can not make me interested to keep going.

I stop reading around 70% of the book.

I think this was my favorite of the series. I am such a sucker for surrogate parents and I have been waiting to read Hannah's story. So to have them combined was an awesome combo.

Hannah had such a miserable childhood and she came through it all so tough but not too jaded except for when it comes to love. And really who could blame her after all the times she had been let down.

And Wes was perfect for her. He has been quietly in the background of the previous books. And the more I got to know him the more I liked him. And his niece was just adorable. I loved that he was so invested in looking after her.

The whole thing was just sweet and I loved seeing Wes falling in love with Hannah and her little bean. And Everley making everyone fall in love with her. And the epilogue was just the icing on the cupcake.

4 Stars! I’ve read a few books by Stina now and I think this one was my favorite so far!

One thing I will say is this book might be the 5th I the series but it’s the first book I’ve read from it and I didn’t feel lost one bit.

So they can be read as a stand alone.

The two main characters - Hannah and Wes - were great. Both going though something new and often times beyond their normal routine.

Single, work-a-holic Wes suddenly becomes the primary caregiver of his very young niece.

Single, has all the love in the world to give Hannah want a child but not the strings of a relationship.

They’ve known each other for a few years, with mutual friends - and find themselves leaning on the other during a time in their lives where things are changing drastically.

The story has its light moments and it’s serious moments. It’s got it’s sad moments and it’s frustrating moments which all are down to the characters, their stories and the authors writing.

One thing I love about Stinas books is the fact that you can read them in one (or just about) sitting. And for the most part they’re light and fun but there’s always a serious tone to one or more of her characters that readers should find relatable.

I might not have read all her books,... yet, but I know that with each one I’ll find another set of characters that I’ll enjoy. So, with that I’ll say that I recommend Stinas books as a whole - for those who love relatable characters with a good sweet romance, a touch of heat and a whole lotta heart. Enjoy!

This was my first book by this author and It was just ok. This was a standalone in a series, but I did feel like I should have read the others. If only for more background info. Wes and Everly were adorable. It was Hannah that I had a hard time connecting with. I understood her reasoning for her emotional walls. What I didn't get was how she wanted to find a real love and family and when it was right in front of her, she kept saying it wasn't real. She really needed therapy.

Decidedly by Chance was a heartfelt, emotional single parent romance that I found hard to put down. A man who never intended to be a father is raising his 3 year old niece following an accident that took both her parents lives and a woman whose childhood went from a mother who abandoned her to foster families who were less than stellar become temporary roommates when her apartment is flooded.

Hannah’s childhood was awful but she worked hard and is now a pediatric nurse and decided to start a family on her own through insemination. Now 15 weeks pregnant, her body is changing, her hormones are raging, and her apartment is flooded. After staying with her best friend and her husband whose bedroom activities aren’t exactly quiet she agrees to move in with Wes, her friend who is guardian to his 3 year old niece and in the process of adopting. All of their friends and even the people in Wes’ condo building can see how much these two make one another happy and make life better but they are both in denial and it takes them awhile to figure things out.

First off, I loved Wes and his relationship with his niece, Everly. He was patient and kind and was doing everything he could to help her understand that her parents weren’t coming back even if it wasn’t quite sinking in. As a workaholic his life was turned upside down when he became her guardian, but she is the only family he has left and he will do anything he needs to do to give her the life his brother and sister in law would have wanted for her. Wes was also a good friend to everyone and while for a time he considered dating Hannah now that his life revolves around Everly it isn’t the right time, but he offers her the spare room in his condo and the more time he spends with her even doing mundane things like cooking or cleaning makes him realize how much he really likes her.

Hannah was a bit of a tough nut to crack and I really don’t blame her. Growing up feeling unloved and unwanted she built a tough shell around her heart and hasn’t let anyone in with the exception of her friend Emma who she met in foster care. She is nervous but excited about having her “little bean” and while she is tempted by her sexy roommate she knows it is not a good idea because Wes never intended to settle down and while Everly has changed his life somewhat she doesn’t trust that he’s ready to part with his bachelor ways.

Wes, Hannah, and Everly fell into an easy routine that made sense to them and it was easy to see that while Everly loved her uncle she was missing a mother figure. As a pediatric nurse Hannah had a way with children and she was not only good with Everly but she helped Wes to understand that he was doing a good job and that at the age of three is was going to take time for Everly to realize that her parents were not coming back. Hannah became someone Wes could voice his concerns and frustrations to, and Wes became someone Hannah could share her life in foster care with while making it known he was doing the right thing by providing Everly a home and family she deserved. They had a special bond and friendship and while it did progress to more, it happened over time which made it all the more special.

Filled with emotion, friendship, and such a sense of joy and happiness, I thoroughly enjoyed Decidedly By Chance.

This is book 5 in the By the Bay series but I can vouch for this book as a stand-alone because I haven’t as yet read the previous books and I loved everything about this book, now where to start with my review.
Wes Chiasson’s life has been turned upside down the pervious workaholic finds himself as the sole guardian of his 3 year niece after the death of her parents. He now needs to spend time with an adorable little girl who doesn’t really understand why her parents aren’t coming back.
Hannah Morrell has decided the time is right for her to start a family, she is a paediatric nurse who was brought up in the foster care system so a family is one of the most important things in her life.
Wes and Hannah are friends and when she needs somewhere to stay Wes doesn’t think twice about offering his spare room but what happens when feelings come into play......
This book has all the feels you want, it will touch you on so many different levels and at time times my heart broke for Wes, Hannah and Everly. The chemistry between Wes and Hannah is intense and the banter they share flowed so naturally but as always a child stole the show for me as she tugged on my heartstrings with her innocent statements. A beautifully written story about friendship and love with wonderful characters and I will certainly be looking at the previous books in this series.

5 Star Review Decidedly By Chance (By the Bay #5) by Stina Lindenblatt

Decidedly by Chance is the first book that I’ve read by Stina Lindenblatt and although it is book five in the By the Bay series, it can definitely be read as a stand alone. Wes Chiasson and Hannah Morrell what a fantastic couple these two make. Add in Wes’s adorable niece, three year old Everly and you have a great story.

For the last year or so Wes has been a workaholic concentrating on building his software company. All that changes when he suddenly finds himself the guardian of Everly after the death of her parents.

Hannah, a paediatric nurse, was brought up in the foster system and has decided that the time is right to start her own family.

Having met through friends, Wes has always been attracted to Hannah. When Hannah finds herself pregnant and in need of a place to stay, Wes steps up.

I really enjoyed this story about friendship, family, love and romance. The chemistry between Wes and Hannah is intense.

There were times that my heart almost broke for Wes, Hannah and Everly. The little girl’s struggles were poignant and her innocent statements were heart breaking.
Ms. Lindenblatt certainly covered the issues and emotions of a lost little girl confused by the death of her parents. As a woman whose parents died when I was a child, this story really got to me.

Decidedly By Chance is a well written emotional story that will tug on your heart strings and is one I thoroughly enjoyed.

I have not read any of the others in the series but this reads as a stand-alone. Hannah had not had the best of upbringings and erected walls that only her best friend Emma got under. She had known Wes a while and after circumstances force her to find somewhere else to live, she moves in to his guest room. There is a connection but she refuses to lower her walls. Wes perseveres and eventually but not until right at then end - Hannah admits her feelings, we get a lovely epilogue and a HEA.

Thanks to NetGalley for the copy.

Decidedly by chance is the fifth book of the By The Bay Series by Stina Lindenblatt. I have read earlier books from this author and she writes one of the best romance books which people like to read. This book can be read Stand-alone.

This story is about Hannah Morell who was pregnant and no, not with any kind of one night stand etc but she was pregnant because she wants to be a mother. she got pregnant through sperm donate surgery. Wes Chiasson was the owner of the software company and being the owner of the company it was his priority until suddenly his life changes and his family faces the tragedy in which his brother and sister-in-law die and he becomes the guardian of his three-year-old niece.

Hannah has to move out from her house as her house ceiling pipe had been burst and there was all leakage all over the ceiling. Wes being a friend offered her to stay at his house and to help her find her new house. As time passes Wes liked the idea of Hannah in his house and with her Niece. He saw how Hannah is so good with the children. He liked the way she was adjusting not only in his house but also in his heart. He doesn't want to let her go.

Being an orphan and moving one foster home from another, Hannah was not ready to fell in love with any men but Wes was making his way to her heart which she didn't want. The attraction between them is just getting intensifies which she is afraid of. According to her, this is not right. She just wanted to be a mother and she will be an amazing mother without any father figure.

This book is really good and The Author has done an amazing job. The sweet, slow, Teasing romance gives you a whole lot of incredible enjoyment. The character development is amazing. If you love friends to lovers and single parent romance book this book is perfect for you.

I read the first book of the series Decidedly Off Limits a while ago and I did say I should read the rest in the series. But me and my sieve mind obviously forgot and suddenly I saw the ARC signup for "By Chance" and took a leap.

I think you don't need to read the books inbetween to get a sense of this one. Of coz, if you don't like spoilers for the other books then go read them first.

Let's talk about Hannah's and Wes' story. At first, I was a bit confused by the strange chemistry between the two. Hannah has pregnancy hormones and she is all over the place with them. But Wes also seems unsure about everything. I would have expected him to be a bit more decided in what he wants and go for it (whether now or previously when he first met Hannah). That threw me off a little.

In the end, it all seemed to plan out. It took a while to get there; not really slow burn... just a bit lost along the way. It was nice to see the two "new parents" learning how to do things with a real child in their midst. West learning to be a parent to his niece and Hannah getting an opportunity to pick up some mummy tactics before her little bub arrives.

The little moments between Wes and Hannah were really sweet to see as they grew together as friends and as a couple. Once Wes made up his mind, he really did go all out for Hannah to win her over. If you are prone to tears, keep some by your bedside for the little moments with Wes' niece - you can't help but wanna cry for her.

I was lucky enough to have received an ARC copy of, Decidedly by Chance. I'm a big fan of Stina's writing, and couldn't wait to start reading it. It has a good storyline and great characters, Wes and Hannah have amazing chemistry, and Everly is absolutely adorable, and it seems like everyone knew that Wes and Hannah belonged together before they did. I loved this book and was very sad to reach the end, I thoroughly recommend you read it to. 💗

Signature Stina swoon! Loved Hannah and Wes.
September 18, 2020
Awesome Read with loads of Feels! DEVOURED it in 6hrs💖

Wes & Hannah had been Mutual Friends for 2yrs, Wes had a 'thing' for her. Hannah's totally badass but we see a different side of her here!

Wes & Hannah hadn't met in person for a few months, both being ‘busy’:
~His brother & sister-in-law Died in an accident, leaving their daughter-Everly in his care. Wes didn't have a clue how to be a dad, but God, he's Good! *Swoon*
~After dating a long line of douches, Hannah got artificially Inseminated. She wanted a Family, she'll get it. Only her bestie-Emma knows she's pregnant though. It's so FUN when Hannah 1-by-1 tells her friends about it!

AND..My heart breaks for what Everly & Wes are enduring..For what Hannah endured in past Foster homes, Her trust issues.

When H+W met again, The spark is HOT, Wes is determined to make her kiss him..
Then her home got flooded, & she can't live with Emma+Travis' home any longer (They're a *little* noisy during sex *Chuckle*, Btw Emma's pregnant too!)
So Wes offers her to come live with him & Everly, Till she got a new apartment..

But When all 3 lived together, things changed. They became a family unit.. Horniness, Sharing kisses.. he knew he wanted more, so much more, with her..But Would she give him a chance?

Thanksgiving Dinner (Princess Josh & Wes *Snicker*), Liam+Ava's marriage *yay!*..Wes formed a plan (Guys helped too!): Make her trust him, fall for him. 'cause he's already fallen for her.
She can't deny that she wanted him, but things are Complicated.. So Friends with Benefits it is. They finally made love on Christmas!

As the months pass, he did everything to make her trust him, To show he cared.. the Valentine's day Dinner was beautiful! Everly is sooo Sweet❤.
Hannah fell for him..But WILL Move out. It'll be a test, will he leave her?
Wes didn't though, he confessed his love *Finally!* And made it work, despite their hard schedules (She's a nurse, he's a Programmer/Business owner) **We've a All girls intervention too! To make Hannah give Wes' a chance, A true one..**

Then The Birthing scene came..Like omg.. She already knew he's not going anywhere, THIS Showed it!
After it, She finally admitted she loved him❤❤.
Wes with her baby? *Swoon*
Everly being a big sis? *So Cute!*
•Cue HEA! #Proposal The epilogue was Beautiful💖 #FamilyForever

P.s. Yup, we've got many Fun scenes! Especially with the whole gang😘 the other characters were amazing!

P.p.s. I Can't believe I Took 10 months to finally start this story, maybe I was afraid for this series to end, I'll miss them! But I'm glad we've got Love Undercover series, I'm sure we'll see some of our guys there!❤

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. This is book 5 of the series but they can be read as standalones. This is a friends to lovers/single parent romance. Hannah and Wes have been friends for some time and circumstances have happened which required Hannah to look for another place to live for a while. Wes offers to let Hannah stay with him. She won’t be coming alone since she was pregnant due to being artificial inseminated. She was tired of relationships not working so she took steps to have the family she wanted. Wes is also raising a family now that he is taking care of his niece. Hannah and Wes were such a great couple. The chemistry and dynamics between the characters was wonderful. This was a nice read and now I want to visit the other couple who are By the Bay.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This was my first book by Stina Lindenblatt and I really enjoyed it. Single parent romances are one of my favorite tropes to read so I had to have this as soon as I read the blurb!

I loved these characters! Hannah and Wes are both single parents, Hannah has chosen to be a single mom and Wes has had his single fatherhood thrust upon him, and just all around great characters. Hannah is so fiercely independent and Wes was just a a sweetheart as he floundered his way through being a new parent.

The connection between the two MCs was strong, but what I loved the most were the undertones of family and friendship that carried throughout the book.

Stina Lindenblatt writes an emotional, heartfelt story about single parenthood, friendship, and love. Add to that great chemistry and tons of feels and this is a great book for anyone who enjoys this trope.

This was a sweet read with one of my favourite tropes- single parent hero/heroines!!! Wes and Hannah start off as friends- and the progression was nice. Wes was adorable and patient in his love for Hannah, and him and Everly are so cute :') The secondary characters were also really likeable and I'm definitely considering checking out the other books in the series! That being said, there was nothing "standout" in this book, for me.

Hannah is a woman who needs no man! Even when it comes to becoming a mother, she gots this. Wes has had a mini crush on Hannah since they met through mutual friends two years ago. The past 6 months have been rough as Wes has become the guardian to his 3 year old niece. Hannah and Wes are going through the motions of being a couple even though the agreed to be friends with benefits. Wes is freaking adorable on so many levels, I adored how he wants to take care of Hannah.

Loved getting to see some sneak peeks of past couples getting their HEA.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review and I really enjoyed it!!!! I don't want to give anything away but I got pulled in as I generally do with Stina Lindenblatt. I completely lost myself in the story and was actually disappointed when it came to an end. Overall I highly recommend it if you are a hopeless romantic like I am.

Decidedly by Chance is book 5 in The Bay series; While this story is part of a series but this story can be read as a standlone.

Hannah decided to fulfill the dream of a family by herself, when she runs into an old friend who has been MIA, she finds out that Wes has become his niece’s legal guardian. Wes doesn’t know the first thing about being a parent especially to a little girl, when Hannah comes back into his life he wants nothing more than to make it permanent. Finding out she is pregnant with another man’s baby doesn’t slow his plans down on making her his.

The chemistry between Wes and Hannah is electric, they both struggle with their feelings between each other not wanting to hurt Everly or even themselves.

I personally really enjoyed this story, while I haven’t read all of the books in series I will going back and catch up ASAP. I can’t wait for the next installment from Lindenblatt.

Like expected this story did not let me down. Loved every minute of it. Loved how the lives of other characters continued from the previous books. This is definitely a story you start and can’t put down.

Received an ARC from the author and I couldn't be happier. What a great read. The author did a great job with the characters. Hannah wants a baby and she goes about it the non-traditional turkey baster way. Wes is taking care of his three your old niece, becoming her guardian after her parents died. It's a sweet story of two somewhat friends coming together to fill the space in their lives they didn't think they needed. Not too much drama, lots of great friends and cute moments. I recommend this book. Stina never disappoints.

*I received an ARC from the author for an honest review*

This book has all the feels! Wes takes in his niece, Everly, after his brother and sister-in-law die in an accident. He was a workaholic and not really looking to settle down. That all changes when Everly becomes a main fixture in his life. The love he has for his niece is extraordinary. You can feel it leaping off the page. In comes Hannah and Little Bean. The electricity between these two were hot! I saw Hannah struggle with her feelings for Wes and Everly because of her past. She didn't let that define her, and I'm proud of her for that! I highly recommend this book if you want a romance that'll give you all the tingles!

I loved Hannah and Wes’s story. Wes had to overcome Hannah’s fear of abandonment. I admired him for being patient and diligent in his pursuit. I also loved how he showed his love to Hannah when sometime she was just too darned stubborn. I really enjoyed the appearances of the couples from the prior books and how they supported and encouraged Hannah and Wes on their love journey. This was a great story about overcoming your past so that you can embrace your future.
I received an ARC of this book!!

Wes and Hannah were just meant to be together, but Hannah's upbringing kept her doubting his love and that it would be forever. Even their friends knew and tried to help it along.
What a comfortable fuzzy feeling you get while reading.

I did not start at the beginning and now I have to do so since there were couples that were in here and situations and characters that were mentioned that made me feel that I would get more if I had started from the beginning. This is Hannah and Wes's book. Wes has had a crush on Hannah since the beginning and now he is in charge of his niece since his brother and sister in law passed away, that part and his interactions with his niece brought tears to your eyes. He is not sure if he is ready or if he even wants a relationship with Hannah and so he goes back in forth with that and then there is Hannah she had a tough up-bringing so she feels like no man would stick around for a baby that is not his even though said baby is from a turkey baster (author) not an actual man. After Wes fully commits himself to this relationship he goes full force in proving that he is there for Hannah and the baby..

rcvd an ARc at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions

I LOVE this series by Stina Lindenblatt and Wes and Hannah's story is a perfect edition.
A friends to lovers/single parent read...both Hannah and Wes find themselves becoming parents in unconventional ways.Hannah through a sperm donor and Wes through tragic circumstances, becoming the guardian to his adorable Niece Everly, which turns his world upside down.
Despite Hannah being pregnant with a sperm donor Wes is uncontrollably attracted to her, there is still an underlining chemistry between them that has been brewing for a long time, but for Hannah giving into her feelings was difficult because of bad past experiences.Wes just has to find a way to break down the walls to her heart and convince her that they are meant for one another.
I could not get enough of this story and I was totally swept away by Stina's words.
Romantic, funny and enthralling ,I thoroughly enjoyed reading this heartwarming book and I HIGHLY Recommend it to anyone who loves feel good romance.
5 brilliant stars for me.

Growing up in foster care because her mother was more attached to her latest boyfriend than taking care of her daughter and just not seeming to be lucky in love Hannah decides to have her own family through insemination and she is happy with that.
Wes is a single workerholic guy who just lost his brother and sister in law and is now the guardian to his niece. And he knows nothing about kids. Now his whole life has changed. No more late nights working, no more paryting like he use to.

Wes and Hannah met because they have mutual friends. But they also have more in common, both of them are not in the market for a serious relationship. But now their lives have changed and Wes is more attracted to Hannah than before and he cant help but wanting more than a casual relationship with her. Hannah is use to people leaving so she just can't afford to fall for this sweet caring sexy guy and she has her own little bean to worry about now. Wes is determinded to show Hannah that he isn't going anywhere and he will stand by her and show her that they can be more than just a casual hookup!

I enjoyed this story, as I love single parent books. The only issue I had was I couldn't connect to Hannah, she was strong, smart and very brave for doing the whole single parent thing. But I just felt she was a bit back and forth with Wes and maybe she needed a bit more depth for her character. Wes on the hand was perfect, no complaints there, lol! Enjoyed reading about the other characters too!
