Worth a shot was a good book. I enjoyed the humour in this book and thought it was the greatest addition. Both Tori and Tristan where good characters and had good traits. I liked the scenes with Guardian. I, personally, had trouble with this book- just connecting to the characters and the plot got a bit slow for me.

I honestly enjoyed this read, love the way the two characters Tori and Tristan came together. They started out unconventional and a little rocky but found common ground in each other.
When we are introduced to Tori, whose a coffee fanatic, she's engage to a guy named deacon. Right off the back you can tell her relationship is more settled than hopeful. The fact that she was engaged for some time with no wedding date set was a clear indication of how she felt about her relationship. It's not until she meets Tristan she realizes what she's missing in life. And who she's more meant to be with. Tristan is rough around the edge, not much into commitment, but when he meets Tori, his whole world is turned upside down literally and figuratively. But luckily for the better.

The excitement that Tristan bring keeps Tori interested but she is also aware he is a little dangerous . Tristan is being set up but he doesn't know why at first but soon learns a bent cop is working with a gang but Tori outsmart them and captures one of them which turns everything on its head

It was a cute and suspenseful novel with some humor but with mostly twists and turns because Cristian happened to be a somewhat but sexy bad boy who runs an illegal underground gambling and boxing club called the Knock Out. He unselfishly saved an stranger named Tori from an drive by shooting. Amazingly there was one sexual encounter between them but mostly they flirted by texting or talking before they actually had sex. All in all, it was a pretty good read.
