Welcome. Black Food Folks exists to provide resources and foster community among Black professionals in the food and drink industry, who are most often ignored or erased in the landscape of American cuisine. Our mission is to counter the erasure of Black voices in the industry by promoting and supporting the work they do and offering a platform for them to connect and share their stories.

Black Food Folks Presents:

The Black Food Folks Podcast

A collection of conversations between Black food and beverage professionals.

Black Desserts

Black Food Folks presents a limited podcast series focusing on the life and work of Black pastry chefs. The series explores the life and careers of a baker’s dozen of our country’s best and most diverse Black chefs, bakers, chocolatiers, and educators and the historical context in which they do their work.
