The Hudson Valley Writers Center resides in the former station building of the operating train stop at Philipse Manor Station. It is best to put that station name into your GPS and not our street address.
We are handicapped accessible on one level flush with the street and with an ADA compliant restroom.
There is ample parking available at any time as we are at a train station. We do have a handful of HVWC designated spaces adjacent to and on one side of our building. If they are full, you can use any of the other commuter spaces – just come in and get a paper pass to put inside your dashboard so you won’t get a ticket (and they will issue tickets very quickly if you don’t!).

Located at the Philpse Railroad Station.
Please Note: Putting our street address into GPS will often take you to Kingsland Point Park nearby and not to our location! Using “Philipse Manor Station” as your destination yields better results than 300 Riverside Ave. We are on the EAST side of the Philipse Manor Metro-North tracks not the river side. We are in the actual former train station building near stairs to platforms. If you wind up at Kingsland, come back across the bridge off of Palmer Avenue, make a LEFT at the Triangle onto Riverside, and we are on the left above the station.

We are the Philipse Manor stop (local stop) on the Hudson-East Line. Exit the train, you’re there at our stone building right alongside the platform.
