Sticky Essentials Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the hop celebrating Altenew’s amazing lineup of adhesives. If you are following along in the hop today, you have just come from Hannelie Bester. Your next stop is Nathalie DeSousa. For more information and to see the entire blog hop list, please check out the Altenew card blog.

Cardmaking and adhesives go hand in hand. How else can we get paper to behave! Altenew has a whole line of adhesives from glue tape to masking paper. For my card example today, I am sharing the Satin Masking Tape and the new improved Glue Tape. The Satin Masking tape is great for holding down dies and also for masking off sections of your paper. The Glue Tape is a great adhesive for making sure die cuts are adhered well to your project.

The Altenew Satin Masking tape is perfect for masking. I added a piece of Satin Masking tape to the card base. I then placed the Beach Towel Stripes stencil on a diagonal and inked up the paper with Deep Blue Seas ink set.

From the Wild and Free stamp set, I stamped and then inked some flowers. I used the Glue Tape to add the flowers and leaves to the card base.

Within the masked section of the card base, I stamped a sentiment from the Wild and Free stamp set using Obsidian Ink.

  1. Pretty card! I love how you used the masking tape to make space for your sentiment! I think I have to try that technique.
