Altenew September 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey crafty friends! Welcome to the Altenew Marvelous Monthly release: September edition! If you are hopping along with us, you have just come from Agnieszka Malyszek and your next stop is Jaycee Gaspar. For the full hop list and more information, please visit the Altenew Card Blog.

The Marvelous Monthly Series is a collection of 5 subscription stamp/die sets. If you sign up for the subscription, Altenew will deliver these goodies to your door so you have them right away to play! Now let’s check out all the subscription products.

Paint a Flower: Hibiscus

The Paint a Flower Hibiscus is a gorgeous open flower. On a piece of watercolor paper, I sprayed Razzleberry Ink Spray as well as Antique Gold ink spray. After the panel dried, I stamped the PAF Hibiscus in embossing ink and then used Platinum embossing powder. I love the outline of the Hibiscus flower with the sprays.

To set off this inked flower, I added it to a tag. The tag is from Holiday Tag Stamp and Die Bundle and is covered with Brushed Grid Washi Tape.

To complement the bold flower, I created a soft background using the Playful Patterns and added a sentiment in Platinum embossing powder.

Craft A Flower: Tulip Full Bloom

I love bold red tulips. I used the Gradient Paper pack in Red Cosmos. To add definition and variation, I inked the die cuts with the Red Cosmos ink set.

To set off these bold tulips, I placed them onto a piece of paper that had been hot foiled with the Exquisite Marble Hot Foil paper. I love the subtle shine paired with the bold red tulips.

To add a soft background, I inked up the card with Icy Water ink. The sentiment is from the Bold Sentiment stamp set and was stamped with Obsidian ink.

Build a Garden: Pristine Peonies

The Build a Garden sets come with a coloring stencil. I used Fall Harvest ink set for a soft yellow color on these bold peonies.

I wanted to offset the soft color of the flowers with a graphic print. The Brushed Grid Washi tape covering the top third of the card base is the perfect way to show off these Pristine Peonies.

Mini Delight: Creative Cookies

I just can’t…I mean cookies!! They are too cute to eat! I stamped these cookies using Delectable Delights ink. The Mini Delight sets come with their own dies so I cut out the cookies.

I added the cookies to a tag cut from the Holiday Tag Stamp and Die Bundle. Before adding the cookies, I ran the tag through the Layered Snowflakes 3D embossing folder and inked up the raised edges with Icy Water ink.

Project Kit: Floral Acanthus

The floral blooms of the Project Kit: Floral Acanthus are too beautiful so I didn’t want to have to cut them apart. Instead, I created a gatefold card, stamped the images in: Nature’s Wonders, Martian Terrain and Northern Shore ink sets.

For the finishing touch, I die cut one of the flowers and added it to the belly band. I love the colors and detail within these flowers.
