Thank you for joining me today celebrating the newest Altenew release. This release is jam packed with amazing detailed 3D embossing folders and the most adorable rainbow stencil. For this release, I focused on blending and building interest and dimension by using different ink colors.
Ink blending with embossing folders
This is the Sylvan Baroque 3D embossing folder. I embossed the image from white cardstock, inked it up and then cut the image out. Using Altenew Detailed Blending brushes allows me to add inks to get detail and depth in the image. The inks used: Nature’s Wonders, Sugar Plums, North Shore, Fall Harvest. The black panel was embossed with the Eggcentric 3D embossing folder. The splatters are from Antique Silver ink spray.
Peony Sunshine was embossed on white cardstock and then Martian Terrain inks where blended over the image using the Altenew detailed blending brushes. For the background, I added embossing ink to one side of the Eggcentric Embossing Folder and then embossed a piece of black cardstock. I then added antique gold embossing powder and heat set it. I love the way the embossing powder picks up the details in the embossing folder. I then cut down the sheet, added it to a card base and attached the fussy cut out Peony Sunshine. The sentiment is from Sentiment Stips 2.
The Double Rainbow stencil is a bonus addition to this release. I decided to pair up the ink blended rainbows with coordinating enamel dots to add some interest and texture to the card. The sentiment is from Sentiment Strips 3 and is embossed with Platinum embossing powder. Ink Colors and enamel dots: Shades of Purple, Glacier Caves, Sea Shore, Green Meadows, Warm & Cozy, Tea Party.
