Conversations around generative AI tools in higher education mostly focus on their role in students’ academic work. However, such tools are also starting to play a role in the production of scholarly research. Join us for a panel discussion on this issue featuring editors from several top journals in the library and information science field. As we consider the development of policies on the use of AI in manuscript submissions, we will reflect on both the opportunities and challenges that AI presents for scholarly research and publishing in our field. 

This presentation will especially benefit anyone who produces scholarship for the LIS field but anyone with an interest in generative AI and/or scholarly research is welcome.
