| We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Big Data Team, which is responsible for maintaining and developing Data Management Platform and User Profile Service. You will be a vital part of the software development efforts, working in a cross-functional international Agile team with world-class engineers, product managers, and leaders located in multiple locations around the world.

- Provide data to majority internal teams (DSP, Research, DMP) in order exceptional value to our customers could be created
- High scale distributed systems development and management
Your responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, efficient, scalable, testable, and maintainable solutions taking into account Adform centralized services/platforms
- Challenge existing architecture and participate in discussion
- Drive and experiment with adoption of new practices within e.g., pair programming, continuous deployment, continuous re-factoring, micro-service driven architecture and similar
- Create low-level architecture diagrams and document implementation. Support Solutions Architect in creating high-level architecture diagrams and documenting solutions
- Drive technical communities and events, both inside Adform and externally
- Be a role model to Software Engineers
- Spend time being deeply involved in developing and reviewing core functionality and infrastructure in several parts of our business and know within what scope your platform operates, awareness of platforms around you and understand the global architecture
- Keep up to date by exploring new technologies, tools, methodology, frameworks through meet-ups, conferences and similar means
- Help your colleagues get their code quality up to high standards. Create commonly used code examples of how to do things right
- Identify training needs, grow technical competency within the engineering team
- Take an active role in recruitment process (conduct technical interviews, evaluate technical skills, provide feedback)
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members
- Provide and gather input for creating or improving technical and process guidelines and policies
- Identify and report risks
We expect you
- At least 4+ years professional experience in Scala/Java
- Understanding of high availability, high performance, and high security
- Extensive experience in DevOps, SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL), stream processing (e.g., Spark Streaming, Flink, Apache Storm) and NoSQL (e.g., Aerospike, Mongo)
- Experience in working with Kafka or other messaging platforms
- Experience with Agile development, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, writing unit and integration tests
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Linux environment
- Good mentoring skills and a will to grow your team
- Advanced verbal and written English language skills
