Alcohol and Drug Abuse Research Program
The purpose of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Research Program (ADARP) at Washington State University is to promote scientific research on substance abuse within the state of Washington. This program receives a portion of the State’s alcohol tax revenue and distributes these funds to substance abuse researchers through grant competitions. ADARP also sponsors a substance abuse research seminar series, helps to purchase shared research equipment, and assists departments in the recruitment of faculty members who have demonstrated research expertise and continuing interest in substance abuse research.
