The ABLE Library is a free talking book and braille library service. We serve patrons who are blind and visually impaired. We also serve patrons who have a physical or reading disability that stops them from being able to read standard print. We are part of the Vermont Department of Libraries, and we serve the entire state of Vermont.

ABLE Book CLub: March 20, 2024

Join us for the ABLE Library book club! Our next meeting is Wednesday, March 20, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. We will be talking about The Feather Thief: Beauty, Obsession, and the Natural History Heist of the Century by Kirk Wallace Johnson (Sound recording book number: DB90801). The Many Faces of BARD: March 14, 2024

The topic for the March 14, 2024, Many Faces of BARD program will be Using the Audio Player in BARD Express: A Demonstration. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. and last for one hour. This program will be recorded. It will begin with a brief presentation. The remainder of the time will be spent answering questions about the presentation or other questions related to BARD usage.

NLS Patron Corner: March 11, 2024

On Monday, March 11, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., the NLS Patron Engagement Section will hose the quarterly Patron Corner. The topic for this program is Your Patron Engagement Section: How We Can Provide the Services You Want. The session will last 90 minutes and will feature the NLS Patron Engagement Section, which is responsible for programs and services for all NLS patrons. This will be your opportunity to let NLS know what you'd like to see in the future.
