Ayala played a tough Los Osos program on the road and neither team were able to score in the first half.

In the second half, Aliza Corona found the back of the net from about 25 yards out for what turned out to be the only goal of the game.

Ayala is now 2-0.

Game recap by Ayala coach, Ryan Casey: Our team is battling through some injuries right now, but the players stepped up for each other and fought hard for the full 80 minutes. Los Osos is a very good team with quality players in every position. They applied a lot of pressure on us especially in the beginning of the second half. We were able to hold them off, stay disciplined defensively and held them to a shutout. For us offensively, we created a few good chances and Aliza was able to capitalize on one. She received the ball about 25 yards away from goal, had a little bit of space was able to turn and hit a great shot just under the crossbar and over the keeper’s hands. This was a complete team victory, every player worked so hard, never gave up and found a way to win. I am so proud of this team so far, seeing how much they believe in each other, the excitement they have when they are on the field, and the progress we have made in such a short period of time is all credit to the players.
