5th Grade Committee
Right now, we have a fundraiser until April 4th with Boon Supply. Everything is shipped to you. They have some interesting things in their catalog.
As you know, we are having a fundraiser with Outback on the 31st. The flyer has already gone out. If you need another copy of it let me know.
We are also doing a can and bottle drive on April 24th. This will be at the parking lot next to the fire station on Weymouth right by the school.
That’s about all the updates. If you have any questions email the fifth grade committee at parkmanfifthgrade@gmail.com.

Health & Safety
Nurse's Update
Reminder: Please notify the school nurse at 860-253-6572 or at nnetherwood@enfieldschools.org if your child experiences a covid exposure. Mrs. Netherwood will discuss with you the length of the quarantine and what testing is needed.
Travel Reminder
CT Travel Advisory: Beginning Friday, March 19, 2021, we will no longer require anyone who travels outside of CT to quarantine or test upon return (it is strongly recommended especially for those who are not fully vaccinated, but not mandated). With that said, per CDC guidelines, there is still a mandate for international travel, therefore we advise anyone traveling outside of the country to check with their airline carrier for specific testing/requirement.

Things to know before we return to 4 day in person learning
School Hours
- 8:40 AM – 3:06 PM (Pickups will begin dismissing at 2:45pm to minimize dismissal traffic)
- Doors Open: 8:25 AM (Please do not arrive before this time)
- There will be many staff on duty Monday to help students find their room.
- If students are being driven in by car before school, they can be dropped off on the curb, by the glass vestibule near the gymnasium after 8:25 a.m. If students arrive to school before 8:25 a.m., their family must wait with them in the car until the doors open. This is very important to do because staff are not on bus duty until this time.
- Pickups will begin dismissing at 2:45pm to minimize traffic during dismissal time. If students get picked up from school, their teacher will release them to their guardian directly from the classroom’s exterior back door. All guardians must park their car, bring their ID, and come up to the exterior classroom door to pick up their child. Refer to attached map for classroom locations. For safety, there is no curbside pick-up at dismissal. No unescorted students should be in the parking lot for any reason. Please do not congregate on school grounds during this time.
Other Info:
- When students arrive, they will go right into their classroom to start the day and begin learning all about important routines.
- Students will have a working snack time. Please remember to have them bring a snack each day.
- Wednesdays will remain asynchronous (remote) for all students.
- Students whose family choose the 4-day learning model will be expected to come to school every day but Wednesday. Remote learning days are not available to provide flexible learning schedules for students. Remote learning on in-person days is only acceptable for students who are sick or need to quarantine.
- Students may switch to full remote at any time.
- Families cannot switch back and forth between learning models.
- Hybrid (2 days in-person) will not be an option beginning March 22nd.

Attendance for students staying remote
Remote learner attendance is important and will be recorded each day.
Remote students are expected to attend all live lessons and complete their assignments by the end of each day.
- The State holds us accountable for tracking attendance for both in school and at home learners.
- Parents should contact the office to let the school know if the child will not be attending in person or remote school for any reason. If your child is unable to attend classes (whether in-person or live streaming), please email Mrs. Waston in the main office at mwatson@enfieldschools.org and CC’ your child’s teacher as soon as possible. (This would be the equivalent to sending in a note if your child is going to be out for in person learning.)

Community Health Center (CHC)
CHC is accepting students in need of behavioral health services. CHC is working hard to connect with families, and look to their partners to help them meet the needs of students in this changing and unknown environment.
Click here for more information on CHC and how to connect through telehealth.
See you again...
