Eaglet Gazette
Enfield Head Start, Integrated Pre-K, PK STEAM Academy
February 5, 2021
This week was very short due to winter weather, but our Eaglet's were very busy designing structures, testing items to see if they sink or float, making play-doh, and all other things PK!
I spent this week observing arrival in our back parking lot. I have said it many times, but in support of safety, I want to reiterate a few things:
- Stowe Early Learning Center houses over 300 kids between the ages of birth through grade 5.
- At any given moment little ones are making their way to their classroom doors or out to the play areas located behind and on the sides of our school building.
- Our arrival and dismissal response to COVID-19 has many of you driving around the back of the school and parking to bring your child to the exterior door of your child’s classroom.
- I have received many complaints about cars driving in our parking lots at high rates of speed. This compromises the safety of students, staff, and families.
- I am asking everyone to take this reminder very seriously.
- We cannot have speeding in our parking lots.
- We have created longer windows of time for arrival and dismissal to ensure social distancing.
- There are lines that have been painted outside of each exterior classroom door. Please maintain distance from other families by standing on the measured lines.
- You must wear your mask when dropping off and picking up. If you forget one, we have extras!

A Reminder Message from Nurse Jen...
Please remember to keep your child home if they are running a fever, vomiting, or have diarrhea for 24 hours. They should be fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication Please either call the school attendance line to report the child’s absence and/or communicate this information with the teacher and or myself. If your child has been exposed and/or is a direct contact of a positive COVID individual, please let us know and contact your pediatrician for further recommendations.
Remember to dress your child in layers, as it is easier to remove clothing if they are warm at school. Also please send in mittens/hats and a warm winter jacket as our classes go outside for play and mask breaks.
