Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is part of Trinity’s Outreach Ministries, located in our parish house, known as Graham Hall. We’re easy to find at 249 Danielson Pike, just past the fire station from North Scituate Village.

As a member agency of the Rhode Island Food Bank, we serve all in our community without regard for religious affiliation. Our primary service area is Scituate, Foster, and Glocester.

The Food Pantry is open Every Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Our brand-new purpose-built facility is wheelchair accessible, has shopping carts for your convenience, and should you need assistance, we’ll be happy to bring your groceries to your car.

People often don’t realize that poverty exists in rural areas like Scituate. Most think of urban areas in the inner city. However, our Food Pantry serves approximately 150 individuals every month.

Trinity Episcopal Church is proud to be part of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank network, serving those in hard-to-reach places and ensuring every Rhode Islander has access to healthy and nutritious food.

Donations

Donations of non-perishable food items are always welcome. We are particularly in need of cereals, canned meats, and canned meals. Food may be placed in the red wagon at the back of the church during all services or may be brought to the parish office during regular office hours.

We also accept monetary donations to our food pantry. Checks may be sent to the parish office with “Food Pantry” clearly indicated on the memo line. To donate to the Food Pantry securely online, use the Donate button below and follow the on-screen prompts.

Holiday Food Baskets

During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season, our Food Pantry volunteers prepare approximately 150 food baskets for our client families.

Walk to End Hunger

Each year in May, we hold a walk around the Scituate Reservoir property as a benefit for the Trinity Food Pantry.  Proceeds from this event help offset the costs of the Food Pantry and allow us to purchase food from the RI Community Food Bank.
